Not awful. This place used to be THE place in Waterville to eat at for the atmosphere and environment you’d be looking for in a House Of Pizza however, I don’t know if it was a change of ownership, management or both but things have changed pretty dramatically. The number one thing I would suggest you do when placing an order is have a menu with prices nearby. They have a knack for “accidentally” ringing you up for 20% to 30% more than what they post for prices. I’ve had to quite literally go over the prices on more than one occasion with the person at the register, item by item, basically schooling them with the correct pricing for what I’m ordering while pointing at the board behind them…a little sus especially when the upselling seems to be the most intense when it’s a member of management or ownership taking the order. Most recently I had placed an order for a Chicken Finger Plate and side order of 6 additional fingers which according to the menu, again directly behind the cashier reads $12.49 and $9.99 respectively and after 8% fast food tax in Maine my total should have been $23.28 however somehow I was asked for $31.49…this isn’t the first time. Otherwise the food is fine for the price that’s posted. Sometimes a little mushy with the fries but otherwise, fine. Just keep an eye on the register. Also, if you want gloves on the hands of the people making your food, you’re going to have to ask them to. It’s not a default here, which is pretty gross… Edit having returned home from aforementioned most recent trip, we paid for an 8 piece mozzarella stick as well after having placed our original order and received 6. When I called to speak with “a manager” I ended up on the phone with an older lady we saw while there who was noticeably on something who told me that they were waiting for the updated menus that say 7 in a small and having opened my chicken fingers saw the posted pic. That tid bit end of a finger was counted as a whole one. You may call all this trivial but, with inflation where it currently resides and an incredibly good chance the fed hike is coming soon to an America near you, I’m all done playing games with entities such as Waterville House Of Pizza for sub par food at Silver Street Tavern prices. This was our last trip. Yuck.

The food is great, the customer service is great. The atmosphere is nice and clean. My son loves their pizza and their cheese sticks. I like their steak and cheese with fries.. my hubby loves the meatball subs.

So I've ordered here a few times and I love chicken parmigiana. The first time I order it on a sub and when I get it there's chicken patties on it. Like the kind from grade school. Like public lunch. I call them and ask if it's a joke and they said no. Ok I threw it out and got chinese. I decided to try it again and they made me an excellent grilled chicken calzone. I've ordered there a few times now and sometimes ordered chicken parmigiana without asking them to sub patties for at least a processed chicken finger (my standards aren't all that crazy) and threw it away. Not there fault, I forgot. So tonight I ordered and asked for a chicken alfredo calzone and asked if it had patties or fingers. Obviously to save money and compete with, and so much better, wish you were open later, portland pie company, they had patties. Seriously? You're gonna charge portland pie prices and still give me a grade school lunch? So I asked to switch it for fingers and asked them to remind people they actually serve them so they can substitute them as well. After waiting an hour my calzone was half the normal size and contained maybe a chicken finger. Props though. It was a chicken finger. Gonna starve until portland pie opens next time. For $25 there I'll get beer, staff paid what they're worth, and consistant quality. Rather starve then eat here again! Ps. I still tipped a few $. Don't take your anger out on drivers or waitresses. Simply go somewhere else. Poor ownership isn't...

We dined in my Husband got a hamburg pizza and i got a chicken and broccoli calzone. It would not have been to bad, but when the lady bought out my calzone and she took it to another table and left it. Then came back out with the husbands pizza and was gonna take it to the same table and the people said I think this belongs to them and she pointed at us. So she took the calzone and brought it to me and I told her I don't want it cause she left it at another table she said ok I'll make you another one. Than a couple mins later came out and said it would only be about 7 minutes "mineya the first one took 20 minutes to make" and not even 2 minutes went by she brought me out the same one and told me it was a different one and I knew she was lying because the calzone wasn't even hot. And i told her that but still insisted it was a different one. That place is messed up. If you want good food and service this is not the...
