Wife had called in and asked if there was call ahead seating and that we had at least seventeen people. She was told no, buy to come in and they would play it by ear. Assuming that this meant that they would be somewhat accommodating, we were sadly mislead. There were two staff out of the whole place that spoke nicely to us(lady behind the bar and a guy with a shaved head... Didn't catch their names.... Was to busy feeling uncomfortable) the other staff spoke to my friends and family like they were a a hindrance, which if we were all told prior that it just wouldn't work, then we would have understood due to the layout and seating capacity. And to top it all of, there was a waitress, didn't catch her name either (dark hair with butterfly tattoo behind her ear and a little heavy set... Which is fine but just giving a description so other people wanting to dine there can avoid her at all costs and not be left to feel obligated to throw any money away on a top for her,was unbelievably rude as she spoke with another customer about us loudly at the end of the bar saying that we were "all crazy"...ok one more thing. I expect to pay for what we order, so I'm saying that because before any of us took a chance to order an actual meal, some (3 people) ordered drinks that they could not finish because of feeling so uncomfortable.I went to pay one of the staff, regardless, because when you order something you should pay for it. The last happened to be the manager and I informed her of the demeanor and conduct of her overly rude gossiping waitress, but I excited it to her very nicely. She says," ohhhh I'm so sorry..I am the one you should tell.... $10.80. Please come back and give us another try. " On a positive note, I bet their food is wonderful, menu looks great and my family would have loved to and still would love to give it a taste, but because of their demeanor, lack of hospitality and snooty way of handling, for them, an uncomfortable situation. These people are far from proper. Cancun next door was far more willing to provide an excellent over the top accommodating experience, and...
Read moreWe arrived close to noon and was greated right away and offered either an outside or inside table. The weather was perfect so we took a high table for two in their outside "tent". There was a slight warm breeze and the shade from the sun was nice. Our server came quickly and offered the standard options for alcoholic beverages but when we asked for non-alcoholic options our server listed off serveral items not on the menu that she could make for us. All with an ernest effort to provide something we would like. My wife chose a strawberry lemonaide and I got my standard diet coke. Then luch menu (see pics) was fund to read and offered a wide range of very unique options. We started with a dish of their "Stogies", their large egg roll appetizer with smoked bacon and grilled chicken. The accompaning citrus ailoi sause had just the right hint of spice but did not overpower the taste of the egg roll. These were some of the best I've had. For my main dish, I chose the "My Deer Steer", a smoked roast beef sandwich with swiss cheese and horseradish along with lettuce, tomato, onions and sprouts. I also opted for onion rings instead of french fries. My wife got the Hammered Haddock with french fries. Both sandwitches had generous portions and were done to perfection. My roast beef was tender and very tastly. The onion rings had a light batter and also perfectly done. With encouragemet from my wife I tried their french fries as well. They also we some of the best I've had. Light and crispy. No soggy stuff here! We didn''t have room for desert but I really want to go back for their bread pudding! I want to give a special shout out to our server who went out of her was to do anything to make our time with...
Read moreWe found PP at the recommendation of our car salesman, and we're really glad we did! We're kind of old fuddy-duddies who found the bar to be kind of loud for our tastes, so we chose the outdoor seating, which was nice. While we were there, the skies opened up and there was a brief but intense rain storm. Where we were seated, we didn't get wet, but every other table except the one next to us had to push their tables in from the edge to avoid getting wet. There is no doubt that this is a rare occurrence, so don't judge the establishment by that. The wait staff was very helpful in getting the patrons out of the deluge! The poor servers had to dash through the uncovered 8' space from the restaurant to the outside seating, but they did a great job and kept a positive attitude about it all. â¤ď¸ Now, about the food. Holy cow!! (Or should I say holy pig??) We decided to split a burger and an app between the two of us. We had the Big Bad Wolf and an appetizer that I can't remember the name of, but it was potato wedges, with fontina cheese, bacon, and green onions over them. It included a bbq sauce, which our server put on the side, because we weren't sure if it would be too spicy(it was not). The burger was a single patty that came with fontina cheese, pork belly, bbq sauce, and onion rings on it. So. Amazing!! Our server (I'm sorry, I don't remember your name!) very kindly had the kitchen cut the burger in half and serve it on two plates for us. So appreciated!! We chose the onion rings instead of the fries to go with the burger. They quite possibly were the best tasting and most perfectly cooked onion rings I've ever had. Everything was just so good and literally cooked to perfection! Well done,...
