Bagel Café & Bakery — Restaurant in Watsonville

I have been coming here for over a decade because I love the bagels that they serve. I am not sure what is going on with the staff but every time I come lately they have been more than rude not only do they get my order wrong but they refused to apologize for their mistakes and even though the correct the item and order they refuse to accept that it was their mistake. For example I went in and ordered a strawberry fantasy bagel and the lady asked me if I wanted strawberry cream cheese on it and I said yes that is what it comes with so that is what I want, and she said okay. When I received my order they just gave me the strawberry cream cheese by itself without the bagel I was more than perplexed at this so I went up to the counter and I asked the lady you charged me for strawberry cream cheese I thought the prices had gone up with the inflation but it looks like you just charged me for a tub of strawberry cream cheese and not the strawberry fantasy, the ladies response was very condescending and she said I asked you if you wanted the strawberry cream cheese when you asked for the strawberry fantasy, and I said yes I told you that I wanted the strawberry cream cheese on the strawberry fantasy bagel because that is what the order comes with I did not want plain cream cheese if that's what you were trying to ask and why would you even ask if I just wanted the strawberry cream cheese by itself when I specifically asked for a strawberry fantasy bagel the lady refused to accept that she was wrong and confused and she was extremely upset and made it known as well and said that she had to refund me now the difference and I said well yes you overcharged me and you repeated my order back correctly but still typed it in wrong. I wouldn't have cared if she didn't give me the difference back but the way that she acted was inappropriate and this is the second time that they act like this at this place when they get the order wrong not the customer spot but there I don't understand why...

Bagels were overpriced. $4.50 a piece and we're absolutely terrible.. If they were good then I wouldn't have cared so much. Gigantic glob of cream cheese , way more then any begal I ever ate.. On top of that the bagels were practically freezing cold even after they were ran through the toaster. I will never eat another toasted bagel from this place again. We ordered six bagels and it was over $30. I felt totally ripped off. Can't believe how terrible they were. Bagels are supposed to be someone dence and these were fluffy like French bread , freezing cold and overloaded with way too much cream cheese to the point where it was nasty. Stay away from this place at all costs. Terrible food. Sorry to give such a bad review but I just can't believe they can't get the simplest item on their menu right. If I was the business owner and I found out my product was downgraded on a review I would immediately have to put my employee back into training and show them how to make a great bagel. No...

I do not know if she is the owner or the manager, but she is the only white lady not wearing a uniform and walks into the room like she owns the place. But she was very rude, and was not helpful at all. If she is the owner she should learn better customer service especially if she owns the place. My aunt asked her if we had to pay on the left side and the owner looked at her puzzled and just said “I don’t know” with a very rude tone and walked away. She made her feel very belittled. I also asked if they were hiring and they said no. Even though their was a huge ass sign that said “hiring please ask for an application” if you are not hiring take off the damn sign.
