If I could choose to give NO stars, I would. This whole situation is upsetting. We took my sons iPad in and asked to have the charging port replaced on Monday. (We took it to Apple two days before, they cleaned it and recommended a new port). Tuesday, my husband calls to check on the iPad as he was told it would be done. The gentleman said âI donât see anything wrong with it.â Husband told him the cord in the port was loose from my son shoving it in.â Gentleman said, âOh, I see. Well, I wonât be able to get it done today, itâs a long process and you have to take the screen off.â Husband said âOk! We can get it tomorrow afternoon, no problem.â Wednesday afternoon, I went in to check the status and the young kid told me it was done. I paid the $125 dollars. I questioned him just to make sure it was done and he said âit will still be loose with aftermarket parts.â Ok, well I am not a tech person whatsoever, so I honestly thought he replaced it and we were good to go! Get home, plug in the iPad and I tell my daughter it still feels really loose. My husband gets home from work and is inspecting the iPad. Low and behold, it wasnât replaced. He took a flash light and looked, still the broken port. He drove down there and expressed his concern, the young kid said âWell, we cleaned the port, itâs fine.â Husband says âNo! That is not what was asked of your business. I asked for the port to be replaced!â Husband asked to speak to the manager/owner, he wasnât there. Shocking! Not even five minutes later after my husband left, the kid calls him back. Said he misunderstood and that it wasnât done. Husband said he wanted a full refund.
Worst part is the kid kept saying this was a misunderstanding. No, you lied and just kept lying to me when I picked it up! My daughter and her boyfriend were with me and heard him say replacement two times during this conversation.
Husband drove back to get his refund and even told the young kid this is fraud. But apparently he says itâs only a âmisunderstandingâ. Then maybe you should take better notes when items come in for repairs?!?!!!! Maybe he should also look up the definition of fraud!

   Read moreI dropped my iPhone 13 Pro Max into the ocean and after a few hours of no issues, it began a slow flickering death. Frantic, I searched Google maps w/ my wifeâs phone for a repair shop near my home in Watsonville. CPR showed up as a top listing so I went straight there.
The owner of the store looked it over and within a few minutes had the screen off and showed me the corrosive salt water inside the phone already starting to rust in some areas. All I needed to do was sync up to iCloud so I could preserve my data and then transfer it to a new phone later. He thought there was a 50-50 chance he could clean some components, hook up a alternate battery, and bring it back to life long enough to complete an iCloud sync.
He called me the next day with the exciting news that he had brought it back to life using temporary components. I went to the store and logged into my iCloud account and got the data synced. What a smashing success, I couldnât have been more happy!!

   Read moreI went to the Watsonville store and was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable technician, Zaid. He diagnosed the issue with my wifeâs phone and offered to fix it while I waited, even though it was late in day.
As I waited I watched and listened to Zaid help quite a few customers by discussing possible problems and sharing ways to solve the issues. I was really impressed by how helpful this young man was with each customer that came in, including me.
No hard sells, no up charging tactics, no elite tech vocabulary. He listened carefully. He responded carefully. He made sure each customer understood what the process would be and what each step would cost.
He did this four different times while I was there waiting and I sensed each customer was comfortable proceeding with his suggestions.
I never write reviews but itâs hard to find top flight customer service these days, so I felt I had let others know how impressed I was with the skills this young man displayed while I was there
