Had a very bad experience at Nob Hill today. I went to refill my water gallons on one of those Glacier Water machines. I only had cash so I tried using a five dollar bill. Unfortunately, the machine didn’t like my bill. So I figured let me go inside this establishment just so I can change my five dollar bills into one dollar bills. Seems simple right? Well, I waited in line like anyone would with a purchase or question. The gentleman who helped me named... I didn’t know the name at the time, because I was frustrated of how he treated me. He was very rude and stared me up and down like I was a criminal or something. I felt so disgusted by his actions. I simply asked him if he can change my five into ones? He just looked at me and said mhmm. Took my bill and stared at me again and said mhmm. I felted judged like how can someone like that represent a fine grocery store who is known for “great customer experience as services” I honestly am still upset. So much so I went back to make a small purchase get back in line and with the same individual. Only to find while someone ahead of me was being helped. He gave him such great service. Asked him how are you? Making small talk about the the football game. You know common courtesy and customer service. All of which he did not show me. When it was my turn I could tell he recognized me. Stayed quiet like he knew he did something wrong. Then when he rang me up. I said a comment, “It’s nice to know you can give customer service to other people but not to me”. He’s response, “ Whatever man, I gave you your five dollars”. I just wanted an apology or hey I’m sorry having a bad day. Something to justify his actions. But instead that’s all I got. Oh and RAUL is the name of this gentleman. I hope management. Gives him a talk because it’s not right or fair for someone to go through this. He was the face of Nob Hill for me and I won’t...
Read moreSo I go to Nob Hill sometimes for a deli sandwich when I want something different. I’ve been going Nob Hill in Watsonville for years. One time I went in to the Deli Dept to order a sandwich, to which the lady on duty told me I could “just get one from there” meaning the pre-made sandwich’s in the refrigerator part. Which was very rude on her part. I told her NO I want my own sandwich with the things I want on it. This was years ago. I will start off by saying the lady’s in the deli Department need training on how to make a sandwich. You don’t just slop everything together and wrap it up, you don’t take the meat out of its wrapping and put it on top a sloppy wet mess. Arrange the meat on the bread evenly, take the sliced meat place each piece one by one fold it in half and overlap with next piece of meat for starters. Make the sandwich as if YOU were going to eat it.
So what happened today ? I went there today around lunch time. Ordered my sandwich the lady pilled it all together and wrapped it up. The interesting part of today’s experience was, the lady behind me a customer being ridiculed by the lady making her sandwich saying it was NOT A SANTA CRUZ because the customer wanted pickles on it. I mean the lady stoped makeing the sandwich looked at the customer and told her this is not a SANTA CRUZ. She was very rude to tell her that, who cares. It’s a SANTA CRUZ with pickles. I’m not better than any one. If I did make sandwich’s for a living I would make the sandwich as if I was going to eat it or my grandmas was going to eat it. If I did not like my sandwich making job, I would find a job I did like. I do want to mention there was a Japanese man in the deli department some time ago who DID know how to make a sandwich and took pride...
Read moreI have been shopping here for the last 18 years, I always had great customer service whenever I would come in. Not to long ago, I had the rudest interaction with SYLVIA. She was not nice at all , she rang me up normally but when it came to put my phone number I put the wrong one. Asked if I can re do it she rolled her eyes at me and just had sluggish attitude. At the end of the transaction, I was nice and courteous and told her to have a great day. She looked at me and didn’t say nothing. And till this day, whenever I come in (typically 1-3 times a week) she gives me nasty looks and makes shopping at my local grocery store so hostile. Last week, I went to her check out line since it’s been 1 month since the first incident same thing. She was unhelpful and seemed disinterested in assisting me. I felt rushed, and there was no effort made to make the transaction smooth or welcoming. Customer service is a big part of the shopping experience, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of service I expect from this store. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve future customer experiences. I’d go to another clerk besides her. Not only that if I could put 0 stars I would. Nob hill has the best staff, I appreciate each and everyone of them besides...
