Saints Pub + Patio Waukee — Restaurant in Waukee

My wife was in the mood for pub food so we went to a few "Pubs" and they were basically bar with French fries as food. Those were a hard pass. After another search we found Saints Pub. After walking in we had immediate service. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to chat with us. Which is a rarity we enjoy. After a quick round of "is this tasty" with her when looking at the menu my wife wanted to be sure the spicy burger was indeed spicy. Our waitress brought out some of the sauce to try and it was definitely spicy. I decided on the bacon mushroom burger and wanted it cook medium rare. While my wife wanted her spicy burger in the form of an over cooked hockey puck. The food arrived pretty quickly and both burger were cooked perfectly. Mine was juicy with a hot pink center and my wife's was ready for the NHL playoffs. I really enjoyed my burger. The only thing it missed was the salt/pepper coating typically used for grill burgers. The seet potatoe fries were also tasty. My wife like her burger and waffles fries as well with no complaints. Which is rare. Our super friendly server also kept our drinks topped off with regularity. I definitely give her 5 stars for service. It was a little dark but that is what I am used to for late nights at pubs and bars. I see us coming back again...

Great place! Perfect place to watch sports. 20 TVs including a projection big screen with great picture. They have the sound on for most popular games. Food is great. My favorite is the Philly and the tenderloin is one of the best in town. All of their appetizers are great. Hard to choose which one i want. Especially during happy hour when theyre half off. Service is always great. Kid friendly. Lots of biking traffic as it is right off the bike trail and a great place to stop for a cold beer on the ride. The manager cindy is super personable and I love seeing her. Their specialty cocktails and mules are awesome! Great place for patio drinking. Sometimes they have live music, even in winter. They put a tarp down on their patio and have a heater in therr making extra seating and party room in the winter. Awesome place. One of...

First experience was rather good. A few of the downs...Music was rather loud, though we contributed this to being later in the evening which is more of a "bar " crowd. Was not greeted when walking in, so was unsure where to sit..again this could be due to time of day. Lastly, the service was great, menu's and drinks brought right over. Food brought out in timely manner & plates cleared...but did have to wait awhile to get check though I had my credit card out & ready. Food was GREAT! I had the Pretzel Ham Melt..it was REAL ham, not a cheap deli formed shaved ham. The bun was just as tasty as it sounded & looked. My partner had the chicken strip basket which were homemade chicken tenders..not the frozen Tyson type. Will definitely be back to try a few other items that sounded good...
