As far as a restaurant it's okay. Food is decent, if you don't mind eating among roaches and filth. However, DONT get a job here. It's owned by a middle-aged couple and the husband John is cool as can be but the wife Effie is impossible to work for. First, they are cheap to the point of being ridiculous! "Don't give out ketchup or condiments on to go orders unless they specifically ask for it". I mean ketchup for burger and fries, crackers for soup. Charge extra for extra sour cream, gyro sauce,.salad dressing, whatever, and you know those little cups don't hold much. And Effie would go over every single ticket. If you didn't charge for something or made a mistake you paid for it.Don't make a pot of decaf unless you ask permission. No talking to customers unless taking an order. If we did John would stand up there and ring the order bell or Effie would walk by and hit you on the back. I'm talking micro management into the ground! This lady would literally follow me around! She played favorites with the tables too. And if her daughter happened to be working-which she wouldn't unless it was super busy-Effie would load her up with tables, have the rest of us helping her, no share in the tip of course, and then she'd get cut off the floor as soon as rush was over leaving us with the clean up and side work while she waltzed out with a pocket full of tips. Many days it was so slow and Effie would still take tables that I could have easily waited on. Some days I only waited on a handful of tables my whole shift and it bothered me that as an owner she was still taking tables and of course pocketing her tips. Cheeeaap! I'd wonder wth am I here for then. Yes she was completely unfair to me as an employee. Many customers saw how she treated me and sympathized with me. I finally walked out one Sunday when she was pulling her usual bs. Everybody had tables including her. It was super busy and yet I'm standing around with nothing as they zoom around me....
Read moreWhat I great place I never knew was there. Was looking for a breakfast diner off of Robert McClory bike path and spotted this from google maps. Stopped there from the trail and was greeted by a kind person at the door and sat down for a tremendous breakfast. I ordered eggs and pancakes and my son ordered crepes. The crepes were amazing and didn't look like they came out of a factory. The real showstopper though was the hashbrowns. I don't usually think much of hashbrowns but immediately when they came I could tell these were different. They were sliced on shredded. They tasted great and were tender all the way through. I had to ask about them and what I heard was incredible. They are first boiled then shaved and then cooked to order. That's a lot of care and work for something I usually had discounted. Kudos to you...
Read moreI ordered 3 over hard eggs and ham. With buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. The eggs were what I expected very good! Then the hash browns were undercooked and also still wet like they never dried out the potatoes. Very unsat! Next my ham tasted like it came straight out of the can I have never been that disappointed in my favorite breakfast meat. Being a military man I have never appreciated the galley’s food. The workers there are very nice and never had to wait always filled up our coffee right away! Just the food I was really excited for my last meal out of base and was very unpleased. Maybe it was just my food because everyone else at the table enjoyed...
