Solid breakfast joint. Very tight quarters but it added to the Sunday AM experience, as it still has the classic quick serve breakfast joint feel. Kitchen is right behind the counter to watch all the magic. I appreciated the large creamer cup to pour from. I got the Homemade Corned Beef Hash. Flavor was outstanding. Surprised to see what I believe was deli sliced corned beef chopped up (the word homemade made me think they cooked a brisket in-house). The corned beef was still delicious and didnt have any odd coloring (i.e. pearlyness) that can sometimes be found on deli cuts. The onion & green peppers were delicious additions. Had I noticed cheese was also added I would have left it off, as I'm a bit of a purist with my CBH. Scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked for my preference and I asked for american fries but got hashbrowns. Husband ordered over hard eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns & french toast. Overall he liked it, but mentioned the french toast had a slightly odd taste. We did take home all the leftovers (half of the CBH and 1 piece of french toast) that we ate later. The service was outstanding for a busy establishment. Our food came quick and beverage refills were rapid. Everyone employed there was working hard and seemed happy to do so. Overall a...

I took my friend Melinda here to eat out for a special occasion. The waitress was very rude to both me and my friend. The waitress with dark brown/ black hair and glasses insinuated multiple times "how are you going to pay for this?" The waitress gave me ugly looks the entire time. She came to our table several times and told us to "hurry up, I need to serve paying customers," after our food had only been on our table for 2 minutes.

The waitress kept yelling at me and my friend Melinda in such a disrespectful manner that the entire restaurant gauked in disgust. This made my friend Melinda choke down her food and made her sick to her stomach. So asked for the bill.

Paid in 40 dollars cash. The waitress refused to give me my change. ($7.20)

I did not want to argue, as I came to this restaurant for a review and a good experience. Not the atrocious experience I had.

As a christian, a woman, as a food critic and as goth person in the alternative community; I do not reccomend this restaurant. 🚫

It is not appropriate for friends, get togethers, family or after church lunch.

You will be judged accordingly by your appearance.

Take your business elsewhere.

The only positive thing I have to say is I throughly enjoyed their hot chocolate with...

I don’t normally write reviews but this was deserved.

We go to Dave’s maybe every 6-8 weeks, when we have time after dropping our daughter off - food is always very good and we have had the same, very pleasant server the last 3 times.

Yesterday we were in and I ordered the western omelet, NO CHEESE and it came out with cheese. It took about 8 or 10 minutes for her to come back, at which time, my other half was almost done with her food.

I hadn’t eaten more than a few bites until I realized the cheese so I just asked her to please take it off the check. She apologized several times, asked me to allow her to remake it, but I said it was okay, just please take it off.

When the check was delivered to the table, it came with a fresh omelet to go, NO CHARGE and NO CHEESE. I ate it for breakfast this morning and it was wonderful.

This wasn’t necessary but it was super awesome of them and even though I would have gone back, now I will go out of my way to go back because they went out of their way to make the situation right.

Thank you for great service, a thing many establishments have...

Went with my parents for breakfast while waiting another service in Waukesha. First time being here and glad we chose this cozy place. Food was delicious and service was great! Typical family restaurant. Mom is a picky eater and her orders are sometimes alittle particular and they accommodated her very well. She had the vegetable soup and I tried some and it had a little kick to it, which we both liked. She also had grilled cheese and chips. My dad had 3 meat omelette and he said, "It was good." A man of few words when it comes to describing food, it's either good or bad. I had the omelette titled the mexican omelette...it had onions, tomato, green peppers, chorizo, and cheese (also comes with jalapeños, but wasn't feeling jalapeños today, so I asked to not include them in omelette). Omelettes come with either american fries or hashbrowns and toast (with my order I was able to choose between toast and tortillas corn or flour). Hashbrowns and corn tortillas were typical (good) of any breakfast place I've been visited, but the omelette I had was delicious!

The ultimate "greasy spoon" in a good way. Filled with old world charm of the original diners, you can take a seat at the counter or at one of the handful of tables or booths. Give your order to the waitress with her smalltown charm, and then watch the cook prepare your food right behind the counter while enjoying a piping hot cup of coffee. I only had 20 minutes for breakfast. When I told them, they said "of course" they could do it. No attitude, just old-fashioned hospitality. Before I knew it, I was sipping a cup of coffee, and minutes later, a plate with two over easy eggs, ham, a generous portion of hash browns and two slices of dry white toast appeared, just as I ordered. Next time I go to Waukesha, I am going to skip breakfast at home so I can enjoy the food and the hospitality at Dave's.
