The Waukesha Public Library has the greatest variety of books: fiction; nonfiction; magazines; newspapers; educational; etc., but it's the atmosphere, the energy within the Library, that has encouraged me to learn, stay longer than intended, and enjoy many other ways to expand my knowledge! For instance, on my visit to the library today, I was greeted with exhibits full of wonderful art creations by the Pewaukee Area Art's Council! I am truly amazed at how talented, and creative the local high school students are - gifted beyond their years, Rembrandts in the making! Walking through a plethora of art, meeting some of the artist themselves, the parents of one of the top awarded drawings, and conversations with the others walking through a labyrinth of beautiful art - is one of many experiences at the Waukesha Public Library that I was glad to be a part of!

This library has some of the greatest programming in all of Waukesha County. They have maker classes in their makerspace as well as really unique and fun programs for kids and adult adults. We are looking forward to doing more of the kids cooking classes. Their programs fill up, so make sure to register online.

The building and collection are actually quite good, however the staff really bring down the establishment. Politically motivated to prey on children, I would consider this a pg environment unsafe for anyone under the age of 18 without a responsible adult. They did have this cool stained glass though

Not very happy with the staff today. I needed to print out my document for my final exam. I asked the lady for help since I had 10 mins before closing and I just arrived from East Troy. The lady, Kathryn, wasnt very helpful. It took more time with her helping them me to figure out where the printing machine was. I opened the document and printed my document. I left the computer on and told her I will be back since i have to walk out the library to make change from what she told me. I was told the dispenser doesnt take $20 bill. I had to walk all the way out of the library to find out the dispenser doesnt take anything larger than $5. I asked the lady up front for change and she was able to help. I went back to the dispenser to print to find out my document was never in the queue. I wasnt able to log back in. Kathryn was not helpful. I told her several times I needed to print it in color. She was very hesitant, not knowledgeable and was not able to handle my request. I was really upset. I finally had a lady who was able to let me print. Once again Kathryn was there to "help". I asked how much i owe for printing and she couldn't use the basic calculator on the computer to let me know I owe $3.15. I was told several times "this as an exception. They normally don do this and that I need to be out by 9pm". I really dont need 4 people to tell me something that 1 person can do. It wasnt my fault that kathyrn couldnt help not and wasnt knowledgeable to help. To put a flash drive and press the print button doesn't require much. This is why I dont like this library. If it wasnt for the fact i really needed these pages I would have went to a closer one near by the next morning.

I honestly felt really unwelcome and these people were rude. Sorry if I was a burden but last time I check if the library doesnt have funding it does close. Maybe realizing that patrons keep this...

I think it's very rude that adults stand around talking and laughing so loud making it hard to focus on work. Also parents not encouraging their kids to be respectfully quiet when they're in the library so they don't disturb people they just let them run around being loud and disturbing others from coming into the lobby all the way up to the kids area. The library is a quiet place. I guess I'll go back to working at home. My kids go to school near by n I depend on the city buses it makes it easier for me to work on stuff here then home which is a cross town.

I'm glad it's been pretty peaceful lately however I don't like that when people walk in n out n see people sitting at the tables in the front or where the assume that they're homeless. I come there cause I need elbow space to work on school stuff etc n I don't like looking at the same four walls. I have a beautiful home that I pay bills for however I like coming to the library. Please don't judge everyone that's there.

A little update I've been going here to work in stuff n sadly I've run into homeless that come in n disrupt others with loud distractive video watching etc or snoring. Also I was told years ago that u can have a snack however no food food well I arrived yesterday just in time for the doors to open n there was nasty rice etc all in the table good thing I brought wipes. I've also brought to the staffs attention that the hand sanitizer by the door is empty n still two days later it's empty n their wheelchair button isn't working right. I hope this review gets attention n things improve. We haven't been here in years! I mean well before the renovations. All I have to say is wow! I had a question about my card I was treated with respectful, positive professionals. A lot better experience then my very first time. I still remember and it was in 2015. So I based my stars off of...

I love the library. It is one of the few happy places I have in this town. Their selection of digital and traditional media is impressive. I absolutely love the interconnected library system, so, on the off chance Waukesha does not carry something, they can get from another nearby library! Saves from making an extra trip and saves time! And I am so happy they have an app now. Makes things even easier, which I did not think was possible.

The art pieces on both the interior and exterior are really cool. The exterior is just visually stunning overall. And I love the more recent addition of the colored lights above the main entrance. And the staff does a great job coordinating those lights for holidays and local events.

The staff also does a great job of keeping everything clean. And everyone I have interacted with has been friendly and helpful. Again, they just make everything super easy.

This is a great, quiet place if you need to study or focus. Or even just to escape the chaos of life briefly. I commend this library and the people who keep it going. It is one of the best parts of...
