The pizza being decent was the only redeeming quality. I ordered carry out, I went to pick it up and approached the front desk, I stood in front of the front desk for 3-5 min with an employee standing directly in front of me. I said hello multiple times, I even picked something up off the ground for them that I had saw had fallen. Completely ignored my existence. So I sat down on the bench next to the front desk assuming they were busy and would get to me when they had time (I was now one of two people on the benches waiting). The employee then brought out some pizza boxes and spoke to the other person waiting. It wasn't for them, so I said my name again and asked if it was for me? Completely ignored again... At this point I don't know what to do, I don't want to make a scene. Then another person enters the building and goes up to the front desk, for some reason the employee speaks to this person. At this point I have been waiting for at least 15 minutes, so I interject because this person being helped before me when I have been waiting as patiently as possible considering I am being ignored whenever I speak. Then the employee gets me my pizza, which I can only assume has been ready this whole time because I arrived when they indicated it would be ready. In all honesty I got back in the car and cried, I don't think I have been treated like that before. I will never be going back...

Ordered delivery that is a 5 min drive from the business on 11/27/2024 for dinner around 5pm. (Couldn’t pick up because I was busy at home with things and my kid was hungry.) A medium pep pizza, 10 wings, and 2 sodas. Arrived a half hour AFTER the delivery estimate time. Got just the pizza and 2 sodas delivered, the driver of that half of the order said the next driver would drop off my wings on her route because she forgot the wings. When the pizza got here, it was barely warm and when the wings finally got here, they were cold so neither the pizza or wings tasted fresh and tasted more like day old room temp leftovers, which isn’t what I ordered and spent $40 on (+$10 for tip so $50) Nothing to compensate the mix up for failing to double check such a simple order. I mean, even a 20-25% off coupon for my next order would have made me super happy but that didn’t happen. Only thing that I have a compliment about is that the drivers were happy and nice. I’m a patient person so the delivery time I wasn’t upset about but spending this much on 1 pizza and 10 super TINY emaciated chicken wings, just to have them delivered cold was pretty upsetting. I wouldn’t order delivery from here, just dine in where you can get your meal actually hot and all they need to do is run into the kitchen if they forget part...

This is an iconic pizza place in Wausau, WI. The main dining area is closed for dine in service due to COVID-19, but when it's open, it's family fun-time. They have arcade games and claw machines to entertain the kids while you schmooze in peace.

The bar is open for drinks and dine in service. We went twice during our 5-day stay in Wausau, but some in the family would've been ecstatic to go every night. The pizza is served with a thin crust cut into small rectangles (not quite cracker thin, but close to it). Sauce is mildly sweet, and the cheese to meat ratio is perfect. But the star of the pizza is the seasoning they put on top as a finisher. Really delicious 😋

The garlic bread with cheese recipe had changed over the decades, and we liked the older recipe more. HOWEVER, if you never had it as it was before, you'd probably enjoy it now. Lots of cheese melted onto what looked like a French bread style loaf. Not heavy on the garlic, but still flavorful.

The bartender was attentive and kind. She seemed to really know and enjoy her customers. Angelos is a great locals spot. Glad they have stayed in business all...

I used a $2 off coupon from their website and came in with my coupon on my phone because the website says nothing about needing it in person. They refused to honor the coupon even when I showed them there was nothing on the coupon saying they need it in person, printed out. I will never buy a pizza from Angelo's again. Literally all they need to do is update the website to say you need a physical coupon for this to be valid. If I cared more I would escalate this to the BBB but alas, it is just $2 and I rather just make sure no one buys from them again. Attached is the actual website with no requirements about needing the coupon in person. Red Eye pizza here we come!

The Google menu prices aren’t accurate. Showed up expecting to pay about $45 after taxes. Ended up paying $60 for 2 pizzas because “they’ve been meaning to update the prices” is what the lady told me. What a joke. For a $30 “deep dish” pizza, the toppings were super sparse, the crust was flat and tough, the “deep dish” was as deep as a Jacks frozen pizza (see picture), yet they have a hidden upcharge for $5 for ordering “deep dish”. The owners are making a hell of a profit with their scam - I hope the extra money you made off of me is worth the one star and an angry customer. Dominos “2 for $14” pizzas deal is the better choice.
