Homey little shop. Was very excited to get donuts, but they didn't quite live up to expectations. The lemon filled one didn't seem to have risen properly; instead of being filled, the dense and oily donut had to be cut in half like a sandwich roll with the lemon spread on like mayo. The custard filled one had a leathery, wrinkled outside, but was filled. Lemon and custard fillings were both delish, as was the chocolate icing, but the baked parts were a bit of a let-down.
Willing to try again; everyone has a bad day once in a while.
Update: have tried again since and it wasn't an isolated bad day. The hard-crust bread has no crust to speak of. The plain white sandwich bread is spongy and insubstantial, like your favorite mass produced sliced bread for many times the price. The cupcakes are okay, but not any better than what you can get at a supermarket for a quarter as much.

Read moreCovid hotspot? Cramped little shop with no chance of social distancing. Few of the customers and none of the employees were wearing masks. I won't go back until the pandemic is over.
As for the food, the donuts are excellent, the gingersnaps are okay, and the cinnamon rolls don't have enough cinnamon in them to warrant the name.
Update: Nine months and one full pandemic later - At least more of the customers are wearing masks. Wish I could say the same about the staff. There's a for sale sign outside, maybe the new owners will care more about not infecting their customers.
Downgrading from three stars to one. I won't be back until this whole...
