The Chocolate Cafe — Restaurant in Wausau

I haven’t had such a visceral reaction to coffee in a long time! When you take your first sip and go “OH MAN” you know you’ve got something! The mocha (cinnamon dusted no less) is a work of art for the eyes and the mouth! There’s not enough stars!

The sample vanilla truffles we were served were creamy and dreamy. Melt in your mouth amazing, and I don’t even like vanilla. I absolutely have to come back and try some of the gelato flavors and they look creative and delicious. I think I might be working from here remotely on a regular basis ;)

Love to stop in here occasionally. I typically purchase their gelato, lattes, and European chocolate as gifts. I was in town on business and stopped in 10 minutes prior to closing (which I didn’t realize). The staff member was clearly annoyed with me being there. It was so obvious that I had to ask what time they closed. I asked if they bring the tables in, thinking she would welcome me to sit outside, she made clear that they would cover them. I might add that there were people sitting outside already. I would be absolutely concerned if this was my business and had staff like this running...

The Chocolate Cafe is a real gem to be visited by connoisseurs of an authentic mug 🍺 of hot cocoa. It tastes like pure heaven on my palate. The environment was relaxing and included beautiful decor and a. Majestic view of 3rd Street. The staff was very knowledgeable of the art of producing the finest chocolate and displayed their prized candies beautifully in a large casing, at the counter. Courtesy was at the utmost, by the Associate that processed my transaction. I will definitely tell my friends and visitors to Wausau, WI about this amazing tourist...
