*:!#*!! UPDATE BELOW: Small place...didn't actually eat there because on the Covid 19 "Scamdemic" apparently made them not have their buffet open but I grabbed a to go menu....it might super badass...give it a try...dunno. ****UPDATE: We finally tried it out. Small place with a few tables. Fairly busy, which is a good sign. Enormous menu with half of the meals being almost identical besides what sauce is used. The male and female cooks seemed extremely angry when I took pictures for this review. I told them it was for a review, and the teenage girl at the counter translated for me. They became even more angry looking, and the female cook gave me an angry look that would have ended me if it were possible. The food was good, but the Ragoons, listed as.."crab and cheese wontons" were ok, I would never buy them again because there was such a small amount of filling, which is homemade....little to NO fake crab meat. The wife got a Chef special chicken with vegetables meal. The sauce was sweet and sour, soy sauce and some hot chili oil. I got the "Kung Pow"...it was as expected with the vegetables and peanuts. It wasn't any to write home about. I asked to have mine extra hot, which it wasn't, and it didn't have the dark, almost burnt peppers everyone else serves. I was getting nasty looks from the cooks from the moment I was asking questions to the girl at the counter, as I asked the typical questions like..How long have you been open..etc. I even told my wife that I thought that they weren't going to do a good job because of the dirty looks I got. The cooks were obviously angry before I came in and the teenager at the counter was obviously scared of them. The prices are very good, but the amount of food you get is not, the food we got was good, but not great, the portions were definitely smaller than most oriental restaurants. I will not be going back because of how hateful the cooks appeared and I am positive that the girl at the counter displayed a fear of them. I'm assuming the cooks are husband and wife and they definitely hate their job and the customers. Try it out...the food is acceptable, portions are smaller and don't expect the cooks to smile at you. My "Extra Hot Kung Pow" was barely hot..ON PURPOSE!

Love the simple buffet offered at lunch and Friday supper. Great value and wonderful cuatomer service. This is our go-to place for a quick meal - eat-in or carryout.

China House is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Wauseon. They have great prices and good quality food. They have a very well developed menu with many, many options. You could probably go half a year on eating nothing but a different meal from China House every day. The dumplings (or potstickers) are absolutely delectable. They make them just right. The owners are fantastic, always in a happy mood. Also, their is never a wait. They always say that it will be ready in seven minutes when ordering over the phone, which is the perfect amount of time to leave home a drive on over there. All in all, this is a...

Always are go to place for Chinese, food is always good and it's always hot. The staff is always friendly, the one older lady is always awesome when waiting on you and she is on top of everything high energy! She always remembers you and what you normally order rather it's been a day, week, or month since she has seen you! She is a big part of why we come back to China House! 4/6/23 update- Nothing really has changed other than we miss the original little lady that was original waiting on us, she was always so friendly and knew you by your order, smart as a wip! Don't know if she retired or went somewhere else but...
