Hachie's Pizza — Restaurant in Waxahachie

We went here for the first time very excited and hopeful! The reviews on Facebook alone were raving about how amazing and excellent this pizza is. I left quite disappointed.

I was thrilled to see they have calzone on the menu! It has been impossible to find good calzone in Waxahachie. After seeing it on the menu, I asked about it and found out it is not actually a calzone. Calzone should have ricotta in it but theirs does not. It has the same fillings as a pizza. It is more of a folded pizza than a calzone.

Instead, we ordered a meat lover pizza. It was $17 for what we would equate to a medium-sized pizza (they have only one size). The pizza came out fairly fast for it being made to order and was piping hot! That was the best part of the pizza though. It looked exactly like a frozen Totino's pizza. We let that slide and thought the reviews cannot be all wrong. It must taste amazing!

No, it did not. It tasted like the Totino's pizza. It reminded me of the pizza from lunch in middle school. The crust is extremely thin and flavorless. The cheese was minimal and the meat was mostly sausage even though it was a meat lover pizza, it was more of a sausage lover pizza.

Stick with Milano's and Tuscan Slice. Their pizza is leaps and bounds superior. Hachie's is new so maybe they need a bit more time to work out kinks. We might try again as the pictures online and the reviews all contradict our experience. If we do, and our experience changes, I will...

Last night, I told my husband I wanted pizza for dinner. he asked me what place I wanted and I had saw this place on the way home and it looked like a small local shop. We tried ordering over the phone, but their number did not work so I ordered an Italy pizza through DoorDash. There was a pizza that we wanted to try that we saw on Facebook that was not on DoorDash so when my husband got there at 8:30 he asked if they were still able to make the pizza and they were very nice and did even though they were closing up soon. This is one of the best (and affordable) pizzas I’ve had. The flavors were great and tasteful and I especially loved their specialty pizzas considering I’m not a big fan of tomato sauce.
