This place has a lot of potential, the vibe is great, and the bartender is slinging some quality cocktails. But disappointment your name was vegetable throughout this early evening dinner. We requested an order of fries as an appetizer and wile they were tossed in a nice little seasoning they were undercooked, and is there anything more disappointing than an undercooked French fry? There is actually, and that is an undercooked Brussels sprout which is what we found accompanying our (delicious and well seasoned) pork chop entree. They seemed to have been tossed in a warmish pan with their maple and bacon dressing, and with the vibe of the restaurant I was really expecting a classic deep fried sprout for that crisp and cooked texture, not that raw cabbage crunch. We added a side of green beans to our meal, and these too were VERY al dente. Which I generally like in a green bean but in addition to all the other lackluster veggies it just felt like another let down. The sweet potato mash was, fine. Perhaps a fluke, but with ALLL the veg being so mis-prepared I donāt think there will be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place used to be one of our favorite places in Waxahachie. When they closed down for the remodel we could not wait for them to reopen. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits.
However after trying them twice since they reopened. I am sad to say I will not be coming back. Their food is just not the same. Their shrimp and grits tasted completely different almost sweet instead of spicy. Their meatloaf shrunk in size. All of their portions were much smaller. Their $38 Ribeye was the thinnest piece of meat I have ever seen. We asked for it cooked Medium and received an extremely over cooked thin piece of meat. The veggies were way over cooked, to the point that the asparagus and green beans were no longer green. Whatever they did during their remodel affected the main star of the show. The food is just not worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been wanting to visit The Emory simce it opened up and finally made a reservation for a date night last Friday. The drinks were amazing and a good price! The food was absolutely incredible. She had the roasted chicken which was only $23, while I had the 16oz ribeye that came with Tri color potatoes and asparagus with hollandaise sauce for $48. They were both insanely delicious and such a better deal that Prime 115 as it is much less expensive and actually comes with 2 sides instead of a la cart. We will definitely be back, it is so nice to have a nice upscale restaurant in our town that is appropriately priced with...
