Toll Cuban Bakery — Restaurant in Waycross

I have not tried the bakery (just the restaurant) and the baked goods looked delicious. However, our food and experience was absolutely terrible. We went for Mother’s Day after the rush (there were only about 15-20 other people in the restaurant at that time) and it took a long time to get seated, they did not have options for people with dietary restrictions, the grilled chicken was inedible (literally had to spit it out), my daughter’s “chicken strips” were fried batter with no chicken, and it took over an hour to get our food while we served ourselves water due to lack of service. There were three things on the menu the waitress didn’t recommend, but only suggested a taco salad instead. I was amazed there was food she didn’t recommend. I will return to try the bakery since it is a walk up, but I will never eat at the restaurant again. I rarely post reviews; I try to only post when it’s so terrible or so amazing it...

This review is based off of customer service & not the actual food itself Walked in excited to try the delicious food many friends & coworkers have told my husband and I about. Unfortunately we weren’t able to due to the lack of professionalism from one of the young ladies working the front counter. As a Muslim woman, being told intentionally you have “pork” options, and smiling and continuing to mention pork options, is very rude and uncalled for. Even after another employee (I’m assuming grandmother/aunt), informed her that I do not eat pork, she continued to snicker, laugh, and find it funny. It is sad knowing that my own people cannot fathom differences and keep their personal opinions to themselves. I really wish it was a better experience, and my husband and family are sad because at least we wouldn’t have to drive to Jacksonville anymore to support...

Let me start off by saying this was the first time I had ever been, it was about 3-5 mins before someone came into sight, I wasn't sure I was in the right place and things seemed empty. Then a young woman came out and greeted, she explained the delay and the empty pastry bar. she was on her own waiting for another coworker there had just been a storm so they opened late.
