Normally, I get pizza from the other spots in Wayne, but I decided to have Anthony Franco’s for dinner because what I got last time was good. Plus, free delivery with no change in price. Anyways. I ordered a plain cheese pie with mozzarella sticks. I have had Anthony Franco’s quite a bit in my lifetime and I don’t remember the pizza tasting like this. There was sauce and cheese (albeit a little bit), but it didn’t taste like a pizza at all. Very dry and stale. Also EXTREMELY doughy. I asked for thin crust, but it didn’t look like it even though the manager insisted that he cooked it thin crust. He says that this is the way he cooks pizzas here, but again, I had it last time and don’t remember it tasting or looking like this. Additionally, I ordered a large pie, and it didn’t seem like that as well. The mozzarella sticks were very deep fried and fat compared to others and barely had any cheese. Spoke to manager Brian about my dissatisfaction, and said there was nothing he could do. I also mentioned the $2 off coupon posted on their flyer when making the order, to which they were unaware of. The only reason I gave a star higher is because of the free delivery and no change in price as I mentioned. Overall bad experience, and I’m gonna stick with the other pizza places I usually get in town instead. Would much rather prefer their other locations like in Lincoln Park...
Read moreOrdered from this place several times. Have always had great food. Price for the food is reasonable even at times of inflation and excessive pricing for take out food (across the board). The buffalo chicken pizza was excellent, their BBQ chicken pizza is excellent as well. Chicken wings are good to very good (hit or miss depending on the amount of sauce they use) - extra points for getting them to us on Super Bowl Sunday, they were the best at that time. Those are the usual things we get (as a group from work). The other foods that have been ordered were always good per those that ate them.
Now, why only 4 out of 5 stars - transparency. When I ask for a "drizzle" of ranch on the pizza, you could have told me it was $4 (mind you, pizza costs $23) extra. If you just let the customer know the cost up front, it can save any ill feelings. I would prefer to tip $4 than pay $4 for a "drizzle" of ranch dressing.
Anyways, keep up the great work on your food. We will order from here again without a doubt - but will hold on any changes/modifications or add-ons for now.
Edit: Increased to 5 stars for great customer service from the management and knowing it was an error about the cost of a "drizzle". That being said, they have pride and honor in their business, so this is a place to spend your hard earned money for tasty food, especially...
Read moreI will give the place overall a 5 star review. The owner Brian is awesome and very cognizant to customer service and customers. The place itself is welcoming and you get the sense all employees try hard to satisfy customers needs.
My main issue is when I call in for delivery. Whew, the girls that answer the phone are, without trying to insult anyone, I'd just say WOOOOOOOOW! Sometimes I call for pick up and get a quick, sort of yelling and feeling of being rushed because its extremely busy, then I get there to pick up food and the place is empty....🙄. I sometimes ask for a manager or someone else to take the call to ensure accuracy. I cannot stress enough how sometimes how clueless the call taker is. Then one day while paying after eating there I saw a possible reason for the inaccurate interpretation of card numbers & order taking. One of the girls were taking a phone order with her cellphone in the other. I hope Brian corrects these issues because I really enjoy the place, Brian is awesome as is the other guys behind the counter. I will still be a diehard customer because The food...
