Happy Panda — Restaurant in Wayne

Well, never thought I'd be writing one of these. Now I don't randomly just write reviews or give my opinion on something unless I feel very strongly about it. So if you're in for a story about my... Horrible experience then sit back and get ready.

So, I'm a College Student. And what do College Students do? We study a lot and a lot of that studying can make people stressed and even hungry as I.

Calling this place, my floor dorm has said that they've had a terrible experience with this restaurant and would never order from it again and boy did I judge their intuition. Calling them I was greeted with a kind and cheerful voice, believing that "Oh well this is going well", so I placed my order and began to finish up my studies so I could take a break and relax while finishing up a TV series I've been watching on Netflix.

An hour passes and I assume that "Oh, this is starting to take a while. Never ordered from a place that takes more then an hour to deliver". So I kinda became impatient after 30 minutes passes, I call them up and question them to see how my order was going. I responded in a confused way, "The food is on it's way" they said. Before I could even respond the nice lady I thought to be completely rushed me and immediately hanged up on me without letting me even say "Okay well how long should I wait?".

Another thirty minutes pass and I start to become frustrated. Be in mind that it's been two hours since I ordered. I googled to how far the place was, "8 Minutes"... Now I became agitated as I could have just walked there and picked it up myself which I should have done. Call them up again with a somewhat aggressive tone due to my impatient and hungry state. "M'am, it's been two hours, what is taking so long?", she responded in a rude tone "It's coming! It's on it's way." and immediately hanged up on me again.

Now, I was pissed. So instead of just saying "Oh we're a little busy tonight", "Oh there's traffic", "Oh something went wrong with the food" or even "Oh no-one is available right now to deliver"... I've never been treated by anyone with such rudeness, I simply wanted an answer but she seems that she wants to rush her customers instead of actually taking the time to deliver a response.

Finally, they came about 2 Hours and 7 minutes. The delivery man, was kind and I encountered no problems but friendly a vibe from him. When I opened the food, it was warm and somewhat cold. Nothing felt hot as I can tell that this has been out for a while. Finally take a bite of my Fried Dumplings and was greeted with an awful weird and cold taste. I had to force myself to eat it due to hunger and the chicken and broccoli was around a warm-cold taste.

Never will I order again from a rude employee from this... "Fine" establishment..? Trust me on this my friends, there are so many more Chinese Take-Out Restaurants which are more then deserving of your money.

Funny how it's called "Happy Panda", found nothing happy about it.

I know it's long and you might see some controversy here but really, don't order from here because your more then likely going to receive an order of disappointment.

Well that's my story, of course if you love eating here then by all means, keep going. We all have our bad experiences, but throughout my life, this is the first problem I have ever had with a take-out restaurant. Staff that do not treat the customers right, do not deserve our hard-earned money.

My go to Chinese takeout place. Been a customer for 5+ years. Food is always delicious and such huge portions! The amount you get for the price is a steal. The lady who is cashier and picks up the phone is always so nice. Well established place. Another review called this place old looking and dirty, but they're primarily doing takeout orders and don't have much seating, so upgrading isn't worth it. It's not supposed to be a high-end fancy Asian cusine. Any time I ate in it always looked clean and was delicious....

Ordered here last week. Waited over two hours for delivery. Called after the first hour of waiting and said it would be there soon. After the second hour of waiting called again said that they were really busy with delivery and finally got it 20 minutes after.
