Read moreWow! I can’t believe how much Cheesecake Factory customer service has dramatically deteriorated. I’ve been so loyal to this restaurant for 30 years. Our server today was nice and tried to help us pick options. But when the entrees came one dish was made wrong. It was missing ingredients and the sauce. We waited for someone to come but 12 minutes later no one came so we asked for the manager. By now the food was cold. When the manager Elmer came he said our only options were to wait longer for him to bring the missing ingredients to eat with the cold dish or he would make a new dish. When we asked how long that would take he said another 10-15 minutes. We explained that we were going to be late for an evening invitation and were already getting less hungry since we partially ate the other entree. Waiting for the missing ingredients still would result in us eating the dish cold. And so even though we would have preferred to eat it hot if it had been made properly, we’d be willing to just eat the dish cold if they would consider comping it for the mistake made so we can get to our invitation on time. He said no. He said those were our only options. So he took the dish away and threw it in the garbage. So my wife and I only ended up sharing the one entree. If we weren’t in a rush we would have waited the 15 minutes for a new dish. But that wasn’t an option for us timing wise. So if I had to eat the cold dish with no sauce (just dry steak and mashed potatoes) so it wouldn’t go in the garbage, then the least they could do was comp it or offer something else for the trouble. Who pays $35 for a cold dry sauce-less dish? Really incredible that a mistake made by them only results in the option of eating it cold or waiting 10-15 minutes longer to get a new dish when we were already almost done with our other dish. We ate at this Willowbrook location a month ago and one dish came out cold and a second dish (a burger) was missing grilled onions. We didn’t complain and just let it go. But this now seems to be a pattern. Truly horrible how doing right by the customer is not a priority when they made the mistake. You can see that I never put bad reviews online. I always put 5-star reviews as I believe in supporting businesses and giving credit where credit is due so they continue to thrive and succeed and benefit from new business. But this experience was just shocking and not reflective of how I would think a company like CF would treat a loyal customer of 30 years and all customers especially when a mistake is made by them. The food was, as always, remarkable. The fried zucchini was fried to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning, making it an absolute delight. The macaroni and cheese balls arrived hot and fresh, with an ample amount of sauce on the plate—a wonderful surprise. Your Brussels sprouts continue to be a 10/10 dish, consistently exceeding my expectations every time. I also had the opportunity to try the honey-roasted carrots for the first time, which were delicious despite an unfortunate discovery of a hair in the dish.
What truly impressed me was how your server, Kiki, handled the situation with utmost professionalism and care. She swiftly apologized, assured me it wasn’t reflective of Cheesecake Factory’s high standards (which I wholeheartedly agree with), and removed the dish from our receipt. Her poise and empathy in addressing this minor hiccup turned it into a positive note for the evening.
I’d also like to commend Kiki for providing impeccable service throughout our visit. She was attentive, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She answered all my questions with ease, made thoughtful recommendations, and truly elevated the dining experience. Servers like Kiki embody the exceptional service that diners hope for, especially in a high-caliber establishment like Cheesecake Factory.
Our meal included Renee’s Special, complete with a chicken almond sandwich, cream of chicken soup, and Caesar salad, all of which were perfectly crafted and thoroughly enjoyed.
