Horrible experience today. Ordered our food online. Got there and decided to eat there. Stood in line for 20 minutes because only one register was open being run. The lady said that was no problem she would let them know, and gave us a table number. We sat there and watched tables that were behind us get there food. I went up and asked the guy if by chance that was our food in the to go area. Yes, it was. Got it to the table, there was no utensils, napkins, or crackers in our bag. Open the box with our sandwich. We had both ordered the French Dip and soup. The bread looked old, there was barely any meat on it, no cheese. Needless to say, it was lacking. Had we not ever eaten at McAllister's before, I probably wouldn't make a big deal nor try another one again, but I know better. At this point I had enough, walked up front and the two people were both managers! WHAT? Poor management at that. I told them I needed to see one of them at my table and showed him our sandwiches. He agreed to refund my money, which was nice, considering the quality we were expecting and didn't get. The bathroom was filthy and smelled like manure.

McAlister's was a quick sandwich stop for us. It's conveniently located right off of I-64, has ample parking if towing anything, and outdoor seating. The club sandwich was fine, nothing outstanding for a deli chain. It came with a side item, but unfortunately, a cup of soup was an upcharge of an additional $3.29. That didn't seem reasonable for a cup so I opted for the mac and cheese (which was also okay). With so many other options in Waynesboro, it wouldn't be my first choice. However, we would return if we had the dogs with us and were towing the camper. The lady that waited on us was very welcoming and provided good customer service.

The baked potato was warm at best, wouldn't even melt the butter, the Mac and cheese was also about luke warm and really wasn't great, we had 2 McAlister's clubs, they were edible but nothing to write home about, this was our first visit and will probably be the last, and in my own personal opinion you can go to Panera Bread and get basically the same food at a much lower price, and then again I surely over paid for very poor quality of food.

I have stopped here for to go food multiple times and have had varied experienced but overall this location has management issues. The staff is friendly and mostly young. The order is always correct but with varying degrees of quality. The biggest issue I have noticed is that the older staff and management do nothing while the younger and seemingly newer staff are doing all of the work.

On my last (and final) visit, I was the only customer when I arrived around 430. I waited at the counter for several munutes with no one in sight. A woman who appeared to be a manager based on clothing saw me through the kitchen window, stopped and then walked off. I waited a few more minutes and was finally able to place my to go order with an older staff member who came out of the back still chewing her mouth full of food and seemed annoyed I was there. I sat down to wait for my order and waited and waited. Four more customers came in after me and all received their orders while I waited. The older woman who took my order continued to stare at me a few times and told me after 15 minutes it would be out soon but never got up off her stool behind the register.

After 20 minutes I asked about my order. She looked annoyed again and got up and went to the back. A few minutes later two young employees who had obviously just arrived at work began trying to figure out what happened with my order. They went to the back and the manager looked around the corner at me for a moment and then went into the back again. The young workers figured out after a few minutes of searching and running around that my order was never made and the ticket thrown in the trash. It's worth noting that the only employees I saw when arriving were the older woman who took my order and the woman who seemed to be a manager. One of them, I am assuming, was responsible for making the food. The younger employees quickly began to make my order, but at this point it had been 40 minutes. Even the other customers began to make comments about my wait to me. When I finally recieved my order 45 minutes after placing it, I received no applogies and the older lady had come back out from the back and asked if I had paid. She was the one who took my order and my card. I asked why I had waited so long and she said "did I want a free cookie or something". I said no I didn't want a cookie and left. While my sandwiches were made correctly, one had barely any meat on it and the tea tasted old and stale.

I will not be returning to this...

This used to be a wonderful place to eat and I ate there quite often until ALL of the STAFF disappeared and have been replaced with people who don't care. I was in there on Tuesday and ordered a salad and nachos to go. It took 30 minutes plus minutes for them to even start fixing it. A MANAGER packed it in the bag and not all of it was there. He had no idea what was even supposed to be with the salad or nachos! I had to tell him how it was to be packaged and what all came with it. The chips they dumped tomatoes on and they were soggy by the time I got home. (I didn't check the chips--should have but thought how can they screw them up) The manager never once apologized for the time wait, or the screw ups. I could understand if the store was busy but there were FOUR other people in the restaurant and they all had their food! I contacted the company and they were supposed to contact me back but I have...
