The Park Tavern — Restaurant in Waynesboro

So I called in ahead of time and placed an order for 3 dozen wings. I was told they would be available to pick up in 40 mins. I arrived on-time, noticing Patrons filled the bar area, but no bartender in sight. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes the bartender came to the bar from the kitchen area. She rushed around serving food, drinks & cashing patrons out. As I stand there for about 15 more minutes I’m realizing she was the only one working in this joint! To top it off I was told by another patron, waiting on her order, (that was ahead of my order) the owner was sitting at the bar the entire time and assisted no help. He kept getting up from the bar and going behind it to turn the TV up, or turn more TVs on. At one point he went to the back kitchen for a minute and when he came out my brother had asked him if our wings were ready because we had already waited 40 mins when we placed the order and then another 40 mins inside, his response was “I don’t work here”.😊 Also, I hope the bartender is making bank because she was the cook and had to serve everyone! I don’t blame her, I blame the owner. If you want to own an establishment and you don’t have the help you need then you get off your butt and help. I feel that’s fair to your employees. honestly, we had fun here and have had a great time here MANY times before. we live close by, and visit often enough.. but the last couple times we’ve been around, the jukebox got shut off at 1:00am with a queue full of songs that people spent money to play… and y’all close at 2am… so why? people spent money on credits just to never hear their music and this also accounts for the songs that continually got skipped by bartenders who apparently didn’t care for the artist. no one was rowdy or disrespectful. Also, we got charged for doubles that were never asked for. somehow each drink on our tab ended up being $16-18 per drink because we were being charged for doubles when we asked for a single. my single, was absolutely the same as my friends, who got charged for doubles on multiple drinks. not everyone is completely sloshed at 1am and just pays whatever is put on their tab because they can’t see straight or can’t be rational. when questioning the bartender, they said they “couldn’t do anything because they just poured doubles.” this kind of stuff never happened a couple years ago when we went here. not sure what changed, but things are definitely different than...

Best wings in Waynesboro with no close 2nd. I'm really picky about wings and will only eat them if they are well done and crispy. They come out crispy every time, and i never have to ask for well done. The wings are large, the sauce had great flavor with a good medium spice to it and the ranch is really good as well. If you call in an order, don't be in a hurry. It used to be 25 minutes, but the last 4 or 5 times I ordered the wait has been 45-50 minutes. I highly recommend the wings, but just don't expect them...
