It is a private club, for people to race sailboats but they believe that everyone who has any interest should race sailboats. There is a table there for crew looking for rides, show up on a race day at least one hour before race start, walk past the members only signs, if someone asks say I'm not a member but I'm interested, if nobody asks the table is clearly marked out on the back patio, go sit there, someone will ask if you know anything about sailing, be honest, if all you know is the pointy end is the front, called bow say so, that only qualifies you to be mobile ballast 'rail meat' knowing more can get you more interesting positions being able to commit to regular attendance, makes you worth teaching more, but they are incredibly welcoming and think everyone should share their sailboat...
