Because the manager asked, we gave Twisted Laurel another try. Our experience was much better than it was a year ago. Although it still doesn't look like the menu has been updated (still doesn't list beans in the chili, nor hazelnuts in the Twisted Chocolate Cake), we knew what to avoid. My daughter had the Sirloin medallions, I had the Firecracker Alfredo with Chicken, and my wife had the meat loaf special which she really liked. The firecracker alfredo had a nice kick and was a delicious twist on regular alfredo. The manager on duty was attentive and checked in on us a few times. I'm not deleting our original review, because it was our actual experience the first time, but this time was much better and we will definitely be back.
Original review follows: Our first time visit based on recommendation from someone else was just a series of errors.
We ordered the nachos with chili as an appetizer. We read the menu closely and saw chili contained beef and pork (no beans), but when the dish came, it had beans in it. No mention of beans on the menu at all.
So since the menu was wrong, we asked if we could get it without beans. 5 minutes later, we received the nachos with no chili at all! Not what we wanted, and with no response to our query.
Next up, my daughter ordered the steak medallions (the main reason we went here) only to find out that they ran out minutes earlier.
So she ordered a burger (no cheese, everything on the side) I ordered a bison burger, and my wife ordered pasta.
My daughter's came out with everything on it including cheese Mine was also wrong, wife's was luckily correct. So we sent my daughter's burger back. Second burger for her came out, again with cheese. Kitchen got it wrong again. After another wait, the third burger finally came out correct. Keep in mind, this was now after my wife and I had finished.
My daughter wanted to try the cake, so we ordered that. Menu mentions NOTHING about nuts, but it comes out with a solid layer of hazelnuts in the middle. Luckily she is not allergic, but the menu leaves that out completely!
Finally we get the bill - not only was there no compensation for the repeatedly wrong orders, but 2 beers were added to our tab!! About the only thing right that happened was the manager discount our meal, but only after I went up and approached him about the invalid drinks and...

The Twisted Laurel has proved once again that quality ingredients and attentive service really make the difference in a dining experience.
Starting off, their cheesesteak sandwich was an instant delight. What immediately struck me was how it managed to be absolutely delicious without being overly greasy – a balance many establishments fail to strike. The freshness of the peppers and mushrooms added a satisfying crunch, perfectly complementing the succulence of the steak.
The flounder sandwich was another standout. The freshness of the flounder was palpable in every bite, indicating a commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients.
Sides, too, were not to be underestimated. The fries were executed with perfection, managing to maintain that desirable crispy exterior while being delightfully fluffy inside.
Service was nothing short of impeccable. Staff were prompt, professional, and most importantly, attentive. Every need was catered for efficiently, adding an extra layer of comfort to the meal.
And for those who appreciate a good brew, Twisted Laurel boasts a noteworthy beer selection. Whether you're a casual beer lover or a craft beer enthusiast, you're sure to find something that pleases your palate.
All in all, dining at Twisted Laurel was an experience marked by great food and service. It's a spot that I'd...
Read moreFirst time visiting here…very good food, awesome beer selection, excellent service!
Saturday night around 7pm, not crazy busy, was able to get a table on the patio. Very good waitress, she listened, had a great personality, and asked about our day while efficiently taking our orders. When we asked about different beers, she offered to bring us several tasters so we could try them out before ordering.
For our meals, had the Twisted Salmon and the Firecracker shrimp Alfredo. Both were outstanding, cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Would highly recommend both dishes.
Only downside, if there was one…was the highly entertaining sight of the assistant hostess trying to clean the wire mesh table after some guests were seated next to us on the patio. They were already seated when she brought out a spray bottle of disinfectant, and proceeded to spray the table…and their legs. They all jumped up as the spray went straight through the table…she was totally clueless, had no idea of what she was doing!
The next night after eating at another place (sushi place up the road…not great) we stopped back by for a glass of good wine and desert…the chocolate torte was fabulous and and went well with the awesome selections of red wine. Our bartender helped us pick both the wine and desert…again…well done!
Would I go there again…absolutely! Would I recommend...
