Spent two nights in the area, had dinner here. Was not too busy around 6pm on a weekday, was seated quickly. Good weather, so sat outside in the patio which has a lot of seating. Our waiter was not good…we tried to order two different wines, and that confused him to the point where we just skipped it and ordered the same one. After he took our order and we had received our food, he never stopped by again except to bring the check at the end…unbidden by us, and with no inquiry as to whether we were done, or wanted anything else. We ordered several varieties of Sushi as well as a gyoza starter. The gyoza had good flavor inside, but undercooked and gummy outside. Needed more pan frying to get that nice crispy side and help cook the rest of the dough. The sushi was ok, nothing to rave about. One speciality roll we ordered was not made well, no matter how we tried to pick it up, it would just crumble apart. Another specialty roll was very large, more than you can eat in one bite, so you have to bite it in half…and then it also crumbled apart. Crumbling apart is an issue…keep reading… A downside to eating outside…especially with gyoza and sushi. The tables are the typical wire mesh patio style with no table cloth or table mats…which means anything and everything will drop right through. The gyoza dish sauce area was filled to the brim, so there was physically no way to dip a piece in the sauce without it overflowing…onto your clothing and shoes below! Same with the sushi, as you don’t get a plate but a small saucer, just like the gyoza, highly probable you will drip some soy sauce or the sushi comes apart and drops through the table and onto anything below! Would be good to have some placemats so you could actually help keep any sauce spills from dripping onto your clothes and shoes. Would I go there again…no. Would I recommend it…probably not. Walk down the street to one of the other couple restaurants there are in the same area.

This was my family's first time trying this place. And Boy oh boy was it a jewel. My daughter is obsessed with Ramen and we are always on the hunt for good sushi . The Ambiance is nice and relaxing. You are greeted at the door with a smile. The way staff was really friendly. Our waiter Michael was super friendly and was very helpful on helping us decide what we would like. He was also very patient while we made our choices. We tried Their Sushi Lunch special which includes 3 rolls from a list you may select from. We tried the Boston & Philly rolls. We tried thr Shrimp Gyoza for an appetizers which were steamed perfectly and auper fresh. For our main entrees we went with General Tso Chicken..My daughter of course had Ramen with chicken, and thr Filet and Shrimp Hibachi. Every bite was amazing...You get a pretty good portion so to go boxes were definitely a must for us. For Dessert we did the Green tea ice cream and Fried Ice cream with red bean ice cream recommended by Michael. It was super delicious. We definitely will be back. If you want a nice place..great atmosphere..good staff and great food this is a must try and kid friendly as well. Thanks for the great experience Soba

I don’t know if we ordered the wrong stuff or if the kitchen was off but we certainly got food that was not good. The only thing that was good was the ramen noodle soup. Next time no chicken please. The pad Thai was bland and the noodles were over cooked so it was sent back for some stir fry veggies with tofu. That was disgustingly salty. Gross. The spring roll was blah as well. The server was good but I doubt we will be back. Well, I came back. I thought maybe they can’t screw up General Tso’s chicken. I was wrong. The sauce was good and the broccoli was perfect but they used the driest chicken in the world. I can’t believe it. The server was very good. I tipped her well as she didn’t make the meal. Won’t be back. Ever.

I ordered take out from here. It is my first time trying this place. The food was... okay. The general tsos chicken was more chickeny then most Chinese restaurants, but had less breading and was not crispy at all. I wonder if they forgot to add corn starch to the breading to crisp it up. Mind you I arrived and tried the food 15 mintues after ordering so it was freshly cooked, but might have been sitting in the togo boxes for a minute. The crab and tuna rangoon was not crispy, but the inside was good. I got the rock n roll roll and there was real crab meat inside and the mango was yummy, avocado was bright green and shrimp was cooked right and not too tough. A good roll. The filet hibachi was okay. The filet itself was cooked perfectly medium rare so that was pleasant, but the veggies were... just okay. Not bad, but nothing I could rave about. The lo mein noodles had an odd flavor, tasted like a metal pan but the texture was good. The fried rice was a bit dry but okay. Doesn't have much going on in it. The side salad was nice. Very fresh and tasty. Lettuce was very crisp and watery. If I go back, I will stick with their sushi and maybe try the crab rangoon freshly fried and not in a togo box. I might try something else as well, but won't be ordering the hibachi, lo mein, fried rice, or general tsos again. Oh... the lady who boxed my order was very nice and...

Bottom Line: Superb Japanese restaurant! My wife and I love this place, especially the soup & noodle choices on those cold winter days. Easy to find and they have a private parking lot (not just street parking). Decent prices and have yet to wait on a table (but don't make the mistake that the lack of wait equates to lack of quality)! If you are needing some traditional Japanese food, look no further.

The Nitty Gritty: We live less than 5 minutes from here and order to-go more than we dine in. The to-go service is surprisingly fast. I have recently been trying to get there before my food is ready just to see if it can be done! :-) Seriously, you won't be disappointed when you stop in. We have tried the sushi, sashimi, noodles, appetizers...pretty much a sampling from every corner of the menu (including the sake) and have never been disappointed. The place is very clean and orderly and the service is always amazing. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking North Main Street, for the upcoming warm days.

Thanks for reading and remember to let me know if what I shared was helpful with an anonymous thumbs up! Be sure to take a look at some of my other local reviews and have a...
