Le Petit opening near us has brought us so much joy!! We love stopping by whenever we can for an iced matcha, iced coffee, chai, iced tea (any beverage made by George is fabulous - he is so kind and he’ll make sure you don’t leave without forgetting parts of your order if it’s a large one - which is easy to do because there is so much goodness to be had!), croissants (of any variety - they’re all amazing!), their seasonal specials (we couldn’t get enough of the tomato danish all summer! Le Petit, if you’re listening - bring it back!! 🙏🏻🙃), focaccia, holiday offerings, delicious sandwiches (thank you to Berny for always having the best recommendations on what to try next in addition to being so friendly and welcoming!), and of course, all of the treats (the chocolate chip cookies and other dessert pastries are mouth watering! We can’t wait to try the new Hazelnut Praline next!).

Join their newsletter for special updates and to hear from the owners. Follow them on Instagram for all the latest (and to virtually have a morning latte catch up with Valerie!). The mother and son owner duo are really meant for this and incredible at what they do! They’ve brought such a gem to Wellesley.

We’ve had so much fun introducing Le Petit’s amazingness to friends and family and having it become a meet up spot. The number of times we’ve pulled into the parking lot on a Monday only to remember that it is the team’s well deserved day off and they are closed is maybe a little bit embarrassing!! :) There are great paths nearby to walk off your breakfast or stroll with your coffee too! We are huge fans if you can’t tell,...

Oh my! What a beautiful place this is. It truly feels like stepping into a French café—it instantly transported me to Paris. They offer a variety of coffees and an incredible selection of high-quality sweet breads. Surprisingly, the croissants were my least favorite—not bad at all, just outshined by the other pastries, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The baguettes and other breads are made with sourdough, so they’re not only delicious but also on the healthier side.

The quiche tasted like it had just come out of the oven—light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The ham and cheese, as well as the chicken sandwich, were perfectly balanced and satisfying.

The coffee shop is owned by a mother and son—such a sweet story and a wonderful example of a family-run business. On weekends, they don’t heat up the sandwiches, which was a bit disappointing, but considering the long lines just to get in, it’s understandable. During the week, they don’t serve eat-in food on plates, and the service can be slower when the owner isn’t there. But honestly, that’s to be expected from a brand-new, family-owned spot.

Overall, you have to try it. It’s my favorite coffee shop—yes, even more than Tatte...

Fantastic Pastries and Savory Selection!

I’m thrilled that this place has opened in Wellesley—so close to home! Their almond croissant was an absolute delight, transporting me straight to Paris with just one bite. We also tried the olive bread and baguette, both of which were fresh and delicious.

However, one aspect of our experience stood out in a disappointing way. The person handling payments was engaging warmly with customers, asking about their day and whether they lived nearby, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. But when my husband and I reached the counter, he didn’t greet us at all—just stated the total, took the payment, and moved on. Immediately after, he resumed friendly conversations with the next customer. Notably, we were the only Indian Asian couple in line.

While the food is exceptional, this experience left us feeling uncomfortable. I truly hope it was just an oversight and not reflective of a broader issue, as I’d love to keep coming back for the amazing...

very delicious French pastries! They officially opened less than a week ago. I went Saturday morning at 8:30 and waited in line (maybe 20-25min, half of that outside). It tasted well worth the wait to me! I believe they are currently open 8am-sold out during this beginning period. The croissant was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the sundried tomato danish/croissant. I bought several to go for later and sampled them at home which I can also recommend: pain au chocolat, kouign amann. I noticed spinach and cheese croissants (unlabeled) and plan to try that next time! The staff were all kind. They serve espresso drinks (including iced, straws are paper). No seating (although I saw two little couches in an alcove but they might have been just decorative?). Someone almost hit me when I was driving out of the parking lot- the entrance and exit are both one way and people seem to not be respecting the do not enter sign, so go slow!

I initially fell in love with these pastries. Their croissants looked perfect—golden, buttery, and flaky—and I visited the place multiple times, giving it five stars right away. Since I work from home and live just 15 minutes away, I often took breaks to stop by and enjoy a fresh croissant on the spot. They were always delicious and satisfying. However, during my last few visits, I bought croissants to take home instead of eating them there. By the time I got home, I noticed the paper bag was oily/buttery, and the croissants had to some extent lost their crispiness and flakiness. They were still tasty, but not quite as perfect as the fresh ones I had on-site. I still give it five start. It’s not that the quality has dropped significantly—the croissants are still good—but they’re definitely best enjoyed fresh at the bakery.
