China Coast — Restaurant in Weslaco

So we have been here a couple of times and it's been decent for the most part until this last time we went it was horrible! The food was super cold, seemed like the warmers were off, the nuggets were like rocks, the fries seemed to have been sitting there for hours. The food was really bad this time around. And near the mongolian grill, it smelled weird like a dirty bathroom smell. We were not happy at all with their food this time around. I spoke with the cashier and they took off a portion of our bill due to the bad service. That was about the only good thing about our visit, so we only ended up paying for one. I don't think we will return again. The food honestly smelled like it wasn't fresh and possibly had been there for days. Pick up the pace China Coast! Please have fresh food and turn on the warmers and check for old food that has been sitting there for hours. Eat at...

To preface this, I want to say I have no issues with the food, the food is good. My issue is with the service which can be near non-existent at times. Last time I went during a Saturday at noon with only one other table being occupied, we had our server come by one time for a refill and that's it. For the hour that we were there, trying to get her attention and whatnot, she did not come back and instead would chit chat with the cashier. Though when we were going to pay, I added no tip because she didn't deserve single cent. She gladly stood next to the cashier, who then whispered to her, "They didn't even leave you a tip." In Spanish as if we can't understand before making a face. Entitled server at this restaurant is dragging down the experience to be frank, hopefully noone is unlucky to experience her poor service...

this place reminds me of a going out of business 70s restaurant. get rid of that carpet.

Our regular place has closed so we thought we give china coast a try. There were very few cars in the lot, first bad sign. s&s chicken was hard, dried piece. I think they found it on the floor or under the stove. A horrible taste. So I tried again with one that wasn't so hard. Still a horrible taste..... tried the chicken & broccoli: flavorless and dry. I will say that the small spring rolls were flavorful

the inside looks nothing like their flyer and prices were scratch out and were hand written. the price i paid was not worth it. this was the first time i ate at china coast and definitely the last ever. we did not enjoy one...
