I want to start this review out by saying that I'm not one to leave a review for poor service, but I was blown away today. This morning started off with a simple trip to Dunkin' with my boyfriend.
As we arrived, a young lady dropped her entire dozen of donuts in the parking lot while trying to get into her car. Witnessing this, my boyfriend immediately suggested we replace her lost donuts, but I, perhaps naively, assumed Dunkin' Donuts would surely replace them with no problem. Little did I know, I was WRONG.
Upon entering the store, we were met with no greeting at all - which is typically no big deal for us. The worker behind the counter directed us to the kiosk to place our order. Despite this initial setback, we proceeded with our order, only to notice the distraught young lady sitting at a table, tears streaming down her face.
Approaching her, we learned that the manager had callously refused to replace her lost donuts, despite the evident distress she was experiencing. My boyfriend, and I (displaying far more compassion and decency than the establishment itself) offered to purchase her a new dozen. We asked her if she was getting these for a special occasion, and that's when she revealed that she had intended to share these donuts at a brunch where she planned to announce her pregnancy to her friends.
After ensuring the young lady's safety by accompanying her to her car with the replacement donuts, I personally returned to confront the store's staff about their shocking lack of empathy. I said, "That was awful that y'all wouldn't replace her donuts.. she's sitting here pregnant and hysterical. She obviously didn't drop them on purpose." The staff just looked at me like a deer in the headlights before the manager shrugged and simply said "I can't replace them." There was no apology or even a morsel of remorse. Their refusal to make amends for their failure to provide basic customer service was both astonishing and deeply disappointing.
The refusal to replace a young pregnant woman's dropped donuts, coupled with the apathetic response from the staff, reflects poorly on the corporate values of Dunkin' Donuts. It's no wonder this location has a mere three stars on Google...
Read moreI went to Dunkin drive thru this morning 2/16 and ordered my usual drink and the older woman with brown hair at the drive thru took my money.
My bill was $6.12 and I gave her $11.25 because I wanted to get a $5 back. She gives me .13 cent's back. I said I gave you $11.25, she said I thought you gave me $6.25. She proceeds to let her mgr know & I hear he say I don't know about that. I said I have no reason to lie to you. I get my $5 back and she hands me my drink with no whip cream and I said I paid for whip cream, she said ok. She comes back & hands me my drink.
I mentioned to her that I don't understand how I pay for something that's clearly on my receipt and the majority of the time it's forgotten and I don't understand why? Just a question and she spoke so nasty & rude to me, saying we get 100's of orders and it probably got overlooked. I said it usually does. She said to me thank's for ruining her birthday. Unbelievable!!! I ruined her birthday because I asked a question?
This same woman has been on her phone with her doctor's office (on hold) while I sat at the drive thru and waited on my order a few weeks ago. No greeting or thank you.
Another time recently, she forgot my loaded hashbrowns that I ordered with my drink. She gave me my drink, then leaves the register area at the drive thru, then returns several minutes later. she said is everything ok? I said I'm still waiting on my hashbrowns and she said oh.. right here they are, I said I know, I saw the girl that made them sit them there next to you 5 minutes ago & she said I thought I already gave them to you. No apologies at all, so I paid for cold loaded hashbrowns.
She's a rude woman that seems out of it most of the time! She's not focused. I'm a regular at this location and I could tell you many more examples of bad customer service with this woman.
The rest of the staff there are nice and work hard. I gave 1 star because of that rude woman that work's at the drive thru. She needs to learn some respect and not speak down to customers when they ask a question.
There's no reason to not get what you ordered and making excuses for it is being incompetent...
Read moreDunkin Donuts has a very bad image in Union County, North Carolina. My latest questionable discriminatory experience happened in the Wesley Chapel of Indian Trail tonight. In the area with the Target, Rackroom etc. I placed an order in the drive thru about 7:38 pm. Taking the order seemingly went okay, but as I reflect on it it was filled with bad attempts to be sarcastic. Immediately, the worker was making excuses about the number of donut holes available. The first red flag. I know there has been a lack of qualified or ethical laborers for some time since the Pandemic of 2020. I placed an order, it came to about $10. Plus. I pull forward, a truck was in front of me waiting on an order, so I thought. 2nd red 🚩 I didn't know what the drivere ordered but as the time started ticking and the worker was leaning out the window casually talking to the driver, after giving the driver a drink. I realized the driver was not leaving anytime soon because apparently the driver was there to keep the worker occupied and it didn't matter if other people were waiting for orders. This is so inconsiderate of the employees and this corporation as well.If the employees are only will to fill orders for their friends, please let the public know. Stop wasting time of consumer's who have better things to do with their timeand money, than to be disrespected by Dunkin Donuts, Inc. @DunkinDonuts . I wish I could give this a negative...
