We love Pizza Ranch. We have been to many different Pizza Ranches in several States. We were thrilled to see that one opened in West Bend. Last weekend we were visiting family that had never been to one so we thought we'd give it a try, show 'em the ropes so to speak. The inside is not like any Pizza Ranch we have ever been to. I don't know if they are trying a new, modern concept, but to me it seemed nothing like the Pizza Ranch. It seemed more like a CiCi's Pizza Buffet. It was also very tight. Not much room to maneuver. We missed the traditional Western decor. Also the way that the buffet line was situated was odd and caused a lot of congestion. Typically Pizza Ranches have several different buffet islands where you can access the food on both sides. This particular one had one straight buffet for everything with access on one side only. It also seemed like they had fewer options on their salad bar and rest of the buffet. And the options that they did have ran out very quickly. With all that aside, the food was fresh, which was a good thing. However, the service was TERRIBLE. We came in as a group of eight. So we needed to sit at two separate tables. A couple of minutes after we sat down, two four person tables opened up right next to each other that we could easily slide together. We decided we were going to move. We waited patiently for the tables to get cleaned off. After waiting 10 minutes and still not cleaned, I went to the front and asked one of the employees if someone could clear the tables. The employee stared blankly at me. I finally had to explicitly spell it out for him and explain that we wanted to move to those tables so we could sit together as a family. Normally if the restaurant was really busy I would have understood why maybe it hadn't gotten cleaned off yet. But I observed several employees just standing around doing nothing. Finally someone came over and began cleaning them off. She had one more glass to remove and needed to wipe it off and said she'd be right back. Five minutes later she still had not returned so again I went up front, another blank stare, and finally someone came to finish the table. Yikes. I wasn't asking them to go above and beyond in any way whatsoever. Overall this was a very disappointing experience. And unfortunately our family members were not too impressed either, so I'm guessing they're not going to be visiting Pizza Ranch again anytime soon. We told them this is a not typical Pizza Ranch. We will not be...
Read more2 stars due to our busser girl. Younger girl glasses light brown hair very very rude earlier today. She would not even ask you if you are done with your food she would just grab your plate, not even say excuse me, then when you say I'm not done but thank you she glares, rolls her eyes at you literally, each time, every table in her section she did this, people next to us told her thank you when she grabbed the plate, she rolled her eyes, said nothing no smile, the lady said it again thank you, the busser shot her head around, shook her head, rolled her eyes, it was so rude. Multiple trips to our table same thing did not ask if we were done, my grand had a plate with very little potatoes left, half piece pizza, half chicken with her fork in her hand, she was eating, talking, the busser literally came over, started to take the plate, bumped her, I said shes not done with that, my grand said I'm literally still eating fork in hand, do u think that busser apologized nope she glared nasty, rolled her eyes, did not apologize. Each time she did this did not ask or say excuse me or even wait for the plates to be at the end of table, never smiling literally glaring rudely, rolling her eyes in irratation. I was in shock, so confused on why she was so rude, upset that we were not done with our food. Employees like that will make us drive to another location. 3 tables were discussing her rude facial gestures, ways. Please let your employees know about patience, customer service, politness manners, communication. Hostes when you walk in very kind, nice, workers behind the buffetsmoking, very nice. Definitely try the chicken, crispy, hot, good meat. Chicken was yummy, potatoes, gravy yummy. Pizza yummy, breadsticks yummy. Biscuits, gravy good but biscuits each time they were brought out 2x to done, hard, clearly see they were over done, hard. Very busy, tables to close together when each partys trying to get out, in they literally bump you, if there is a larger person or multiple people it's a lot of bumping the next person definitely should reconsider seating placement arrangements especially during these covid...
Read moreIt's really hit or miss at this location no matter what day or time you go.We really need a game room like other locations a lot of kids in west bend. Notice managers, staff changes a lot that could be the issue. Sometimes everything is great, other times everything is terrible! From taste, over or undercooked, staff is crabby, no choices of pizza or pizza is cold or greasy, chicken is dry or not done to everything being yummy, staff being happy. It really just depends. You never know unfortunately. So definitely try again if you went, it sucked. That's why we always go back at a way later time lol. Because it might be great again lol. Last time was great, no complaints today not as much lol. Today most of the staff was happy, nice. Guy bringing out food was totally crabby, rude. Cashier was great, friendly. Table clearer was so nice, polite, respected space, time. Biscuits were hard as a rock 2x after saying something, them putting new batches out even still burnt, hard. Biscuit, Gravy was cold, sausages were hard in the gravy, tasted like hard sand. Chicken was not cooked all the way. Some was burnt on top, cold, not done in the middle, other pieces were literally not cooked, new batch they brought out inside was totally not done again. A few people complained also, guy did nothing, literally got upset, walks away. Maybe had a new cook or a cook that was learning, that is ok, but still should have had someone check afterwards before putting it out nobody wants to get sick, everyone wants to enjoy the meal they paid the restaurant to eat. Tall guy behind line who was replenishing the food was so rude, did not care, even said I didn't cook so I dont know what to tell you, walked away to another lady who mentioned, complained nicely, she was not even rude to him. We all approached respectfully, let staff know of concerns to change out food....
