In late August our business suffered a serious data loss from a primary Hard Drive failure AND a mounted USB Back-up device failure due to weeks of random power outages and brown outs from an unknown electrical service panel that was failing. Desperate to learn IF it was the computer OR our Hard Drive, I brought the device to MilwPC for an emergency analysis. Yes, our Hard Drive had crashed. Trying the USB storage device on another computer, I already knew I was in deep trouble, because the backup databases were lost, and the computer Hard Drive files lost were critical. John, the manager at the West Bend MilwPC Stor,e was a guardian angel for our business. He was able to get into the crashed HD one time and he copied it. Then he used specialty software to download the all the document files and photos that he felt he could safely access without corruption. Later I discovered exact file locations for very specific critical program files I desperately needed. John was able to dig into the copied HD one more time and saved me weeks and maybe months of date recreation efforts to restore my lost payroll and transaction data.

Read moreTook my computer in on a Saturday, and they told me they couldn't get at it for a week. Left it there anyway. This was the 2nd computer I had purchased at Milwaukee PC West Bend and like to support our local businesses. 10 days later on Tuesday I call to check the status. I'm told it is on a diagnostic program and should be done on Wednesday. So I call the next day. The guy is a little short with me. He says "I'm working on 8 computers at the same time, I will call you when it is done." Friday I call and am told it is on the diagnostic application. I drive in and pick it up. The guy is incredulous, he says "Look, I got 8 other machines to do too." I said two weeks with no results is unacceptable and leave. I take it to The Geek Squad at Best Buy in Menomonie Falls. They not only promise to have it done in two days, but also send me a link so that I can check the status of the repair online. When I need a new computer or future service, I can guarantee it will not be from Milwaukee PC...
Read moreI emailed the business off their website to inquire about purchasing a part for my laptop. No response. I went to the store to inquire and mentioned that no one responded to my request online. I was told that sometimes their email doesn't work. So I inquired about the part I needed and they said to take a photo of the part and send it to them off their website. I was unable to send a photo through their website so I called them with the part number. The man I talked to said to give him a couple of minutes, he would check with their supplier on the price and ship time. That phone call was on January 21, 2021 and I still haven't received a return call. In the meantime, I ordered the part I needed online and installed it myself. Works beautifully.
