My Partner and I Came here yesterday and ordered Our food for dine In,as We have 3 times before. When behind us Came 2 Older maybe Mid 60's Woman of African American decent. They were ordering food and One Of the Women were squinting at the Board and Asked about a Sandwich and what Came on it. Your Extremely Rude Young Employee said to Her "It's up there on the board ". So I explained to the woman what was on there and I am a African American and I Took offense to it and told My Partner to have the employee refund our TIP only. Also have the Manager Call us. He did and He was Disrespectful and Rude To Her. The part that upset Me was He the Owner Didn't do any sort of Investigating before telling My Partner ,His Employee isn't Rude . Although He wasn't there himself to see The Young Man's Behavior towards the Only Black customers. I as well felt offended. He then went on a tirad of Accusing My Partner and I Of Not being Honest regarding what Occured. If Billy Sims Knew About this , He would Pull His Support as I Will do Myself of this Francise. My Partner immediately Offered Her Phone to the Lady whom had been disrespected in the first place.when the older Black Woman got on the phone, with the so Called defensive Racist owner had finished talking to Him without a resolution, She replied He the Owner is Just as Bad As the Employee, A Very Obvious Biggot. When He the owner then Hung Up I Used Her Phone to call Him Back ,My Partners phone number had been blocked. Now as Far as you the owner calling Us Both Liars,That won't due Sir. ...For I was there and your so Called Employee could of answered The Woman's Question , But choose Not to. It's sad in 2024 This sort of Mistreatment still exists. The Woman who was told to read the board, Was Upset and won't be back as I Myself choose. Corporate should be notified. As for the Owner Calling US Liar's and saying that We Made that up is Garbage. Don't Eat Here and support this irresponsible and Disrespectful LIAR .Mr. Covert. He Really Just cares about the Money , and Could care Less a Black Woman Came into His Restaurant and was Completely disrespected by His Own Employee. The Important Question Here is "Why the Employee Trained on the Menu and Supposedly Friendly, Simply Couldn't respond to Her question amd Tell Her ? Read moreIt was a bit of a disappointing experience tonight at the restaurant. We ordered quite a lot of food (over $120) to go, and when we got home, which is 20 minutes away, part of our order was missing. When I called the restaurant, I said my rack of ribs was missing, and I didn't have a receipt to show because when I paid they said the paper in their machine was not working. They said they needed to check to see if I really paid for it. Fortunately, they were able to verify my order and that I paid for the missing item so I said I would drive back in town to pick it up as I was feeding a group.
When I arrived back at the store they were apologetic, the manager said to just blame them - that they distracted everyone.?? Then the staff started to prepare the rack of ribs. The manager told the cook to make sure you give them one with a lot of meat on it, you might have to go to the back?? Wouldn't all your racks of ribs that you charge so much for have lots of meat on them?
I also ordered some more sausage when I was there and I thought they would at least give me a discount on the meat (since I am now at $140 order) and since they had messed up on my order and I had to drive back into town - and then back home, but no discount.
When we got home all the meat tasted great, but the managers message did not get through to the staff because our ribs did not have much meat on them at all. The baked potatoes were not fully cooked (not great) and the stackers, which we have had before, were a big disappointment. They had the date 8/6 on them, which I did not see until we served them. So they were a week old, the Bananas were brown in Banana Stacker, and in the Cherry Stacker, the whip cream was hard. They were both just not good at all. We actually ended up throwing them away.

Read moreSorry, but the ribs were wayyy overcooked, soft/fall off the bone, and a bit too much fat still on them for my liking. I like some bite & chew to my ribs, it's not supposed to melt in your mouth like a filet mignon. I only ate 3 ribs of a full rack and threw the rest away, sadly. The thought of reheating them as leftovers wasn't a pleasant thought, so that's why they had to go in the trash. Too mushy already, as I said, and reheating would've made them even worse texture. The pulled pork sammie was really fantastic! It comes plain though, so you can add your own flavor and amount of sauce on it. Husband said he'd gladly eat that sammie again. The sides were pretty great though! Mac & cheese..yum. Coleslaw was creamy & delicious. Baked beans a bit spicy, but very tasty. Regular potato salad..yum. Green beans.. awful mush, a bit spicy, with a few long pieces of stalk that were very sharp & hard like bones in em.. threw em out cuz I wasn't trying to call 911 for choking. Sauces: Sweet flavor was delicious. Hot & spicy was really delicious. Hickory smoked was way too smoky flavored for my taste, but maybe others would love it. To each his own on sauce preferences. Their dry rub.. just awful. No smell to it at all, no taste to it at all, and I don't know even how that's possible when you look at the blend of what's supposed to be multiple seasonings in it. Glad I didn't buy a bottle of seasoning for home use, but very thankful the staff let me try it first by providing a very small sample of it to me, so thank you for saving me a few bucks by not purchasing something I would've been disappointed with once home.
