La Marsa West Bloomfield — Restaurant in West Bloomfield Township

So walked in today and was greeted by the manager behind the kitchen counter who said sit anywhere and directed me to the dozen booths closest to the kitchen there was only one other patron a mother daughter ... I purposefully sat away from them as the little girl was loud. I sat at a clean table that no one else was sitting .... I settled in and waited for the waitress ... This loud mouth rude woman showed up to ask me very impolitely to move to another table as I was sitting at the employee break table .... I told her the manager told me I could sit anywhere I wanted in this part of the restaurant .... She repeated that's the employee break table ... Well right now it's the paying customers table in your empty restaurant ...I need for you too move she said .... And I started to... before I just decided to leave. First of all this is abysmal customer service on top of just plain rude after being told to sit where ever I wanted too...I am so glad this place is doing well enough financially they can afford to chase paying customers this way out the door. If you want me to sit someplace don't tell me to sit where I want and then rudely try to move me .... Get off your lazy backside and seat me and great me properly ... It's not like anyone was over whelmed by the business of the one table with 2 diners at it . The manager allowed me to be talked to this way and didn't try to stop me as I left though he was the one that told me to sit where ever I wanted in that part of the restaurant. These people must all be independently wealthy that they can afford to do without my business ... And will do so going forward as I won't return. I left and went to one of my favorite places also on this list ..where I was treated respectfully and given great service and food ..... I like la marsa chain in general but suspect this location won't be around much longer and hopefully the rude waitress will starve to death ....because she will never understand how out of...

Introduced my Florida granddaughter to Mediterranean cuisine at La Marsa West Bloomfield. Acknowledged, welcomed and seated immediately upon entering. Restaurant clean, atmosphere casual and pleasant. Ordered garden salad, homemade french fries, deboned lemon oregano chicken, rice pilaf and pita bread with garlic butter. Enjoyed fabulous supper at La Marsa with my friend “Gala” recently. Our server “Fatima” courteous, gracious and attentive. Nice young lady. Gala ordered Deboned Chicken, rice pilaf and salad. I'm not one to post restaurant reviews. That said I felt I had to give a shout out to La Marsa. They are the best Middle-East restaurant in the Detroit Metro. Never had a bad meal. I've eaten just about everything on their menu. Some of my favorites are... Deboned Chicken, Lamb Kabobs, Beef Shish Kaftas, Chicken and Beef Shawarma.

The reason for my review was not because of their great food. It actually is because the way they fixed an order that they messed up. We had a house party and ordered all the food from La Marsa. I wanted it to be delivered yesterday @ 7pm. Sam told me he couldn't because that's when they are the busiest and they were a little short handed. Very understandable, so I had someone that was coming to the party pick up my order on their way to my house. When we opened the trays I noticed there were 2 missing items that I ordered. I called them back, being short handed, I expecting them to want us to leave our guests and make the 20 minute round trip to pick up the items they forgot to give us. That was not the case. As soon as I mentioned what happened, they sent someone to my house. Before I knew it, we had are entire order.

Everyone messes up once in awhile. The reason for my review is because they made zero excuses, took what would have been my hardship and made theirs, & delivered the rest of my order in a way that didn't effect my party at all. Way to...
