Manhattan Bagel — Restaurant in West Caldwell

Very hit or miss here.. mostly miss. Last time I was there I ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese - noticed when I got home that my bag was sopping wet with grease because they gave me a buttered bagel, which I threw out because who eats that lol. Money in the garbage. Today I ordered an avocado toast bagel with a hash brown on the side. The bagel wasn’t toasted and the avocado wasn’t sliced. They use this really weird, moist, drippy spread that was pretty unpleasant. The hash brown was the saddest excuse for a hash brown ever 🥲 Very dense… wet.. just soaked with grease and completely mushy. So disappointing. Staff is nice, but will be avoiding this location...

UPDATE:My husband picked up bagels for us and all we can say is what happened?? The cream cheese on my bagel was so scant it didn't even cover the bagel surface. He got chicken salad and there was such a little portion it looked more like a lettuce sandwich. Very disappointing, not sure what happened. When food costs are so great we have higher expectations. The food doesn't need to be perfect but the portions should be reflected with the amount paid. We will probably not be returning and that is a shame because we live...

I recently visited this Manhattan Bagels store, and I have to say, it was an excellent experience. The sandwiches are fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection.
