Initially had a great impression. Spoke to a pleasant man who was very clear about what reservation time we could get and said that gluten free was no issue, they had pizza and pasta.
When we arrived, we were seated at our table and nice bread was served to my husband and son, drinks arrived quickly. My heart sunk when I saw the menu, there was no mention of gluten-free anywhere. Our waitress was busy but I got her attention and asked what I could have that is gluten free since the menu did not mention anything. She said I could have penne with vodka. Or chicken with mashed potatoes. I said that didn’t sound like many choices or was the impression I got when I had called. Trying to hide my disappointment, I said I heard you have pizza too! She said yes, but you will have to leave the dining area and sit-up front. This, after my husband and son were already eating, and only offering me a very narrow choice of options. I said but there aren’t many choices and can’t you make an exception for an allergy situation? No, she was adamant about going to sit in the front. I then asked to speak to a manager. By this stage, I felt very uncomfortable. She came back and said I could have a personal pie.
So I wanted to warn people with gluten allergies that this restaurant is not flexible or welcoming to those with gluten allergies. I just wanted to have a good choice and picked the pizza out of three options offered and was made to feel like I was unreasonable when they were being rude and petty. And actually, I was the one being accommodating and making the best of what was offered! It’s a shame too because the pizza was delightful but my stomach was in a knot. Of course, the waitress received a full 20% tip but won’t visit that dining room again. Perhaps order...
Read moreIf i could give 0 stars i would! Placed a simple order for (2) two pies and an appetizer. First, i feel they are a little pricey for a pizzeria but that is not my main issue. After an hour and a half waiting for delivery when they told me 45 minutes, i decided to call which i hate doing. The girl on the phone stated that the driver should be to my house within (5) five minutes, which just to mention i live right down the block. I ok'd and just figured they're busy. After still waiting another 15 minutes, my aunt decided to go outside for a cigarette to go to find my (2) two pies and appetizer were placed on the ground in front of my door. Nobody rang the doorbell, knocked, or called to let us know the food was delivered AND left the food on the ground. The food was luke warm and we searched for bugs since again, it was left on the ground in front of my front door for God knows how long. My husband called to voice his concern and they stated due to covid and didn't even try to remedy the situation. All other delivery places at least ring the bell and some even call when they are about to arrive with their delivery. Extremely dissatisfied and NEVER ordering...
Read moreMy husband, my mother and I came out for dinner and decided to try this restaurant. My mother ordered the eggplant parmesan which she did not care for at all. I ordered the chicken with artichoke dinner without garlic and black pepper due to allergies to garlic and black pepper. The dish came out with black pepper on it. The chef, Chris, remade the dish, however, it was extremely lemony and had a very vinegar taste. I did not like it and did not eat it. Perhaps the wine was bad causing the vinegar taste. The chef came out and said that is the way it should taste. I told him I didn't think I should have to pay for this and he replied 'You are going to pay for it!' I was not happy about the way I was treated. I told him we would not be coming back and he said 'That's fine.' To me this was very bad customer service. We will not be returning to this place. The food is not good and there are other restaurants just down the street that are much better. Stay away from this one! We were at this restaurant years ago when Enzo was the chef. The food was great then. Unfortunately, not anymore!...
