My Husband and I were in the area visiting Main Event. We thought it would be nice to have breakfast and be nice a ready for our day!... we arrived and it was very crowed , however, 3 of the 5 seats at the breakfast bar was available…we asked the host of we needed to wait to be seated, she said if we were sitting at the bar, we could seat ourselves. We sat and waited for someone to acknowledge us, but to no avail. We sat for another 10 minutes and literally watched the waitress pour coffee for everyone one at the bar except for my husband and myself. We didn’t even have a placemat…. A man, sat beside us and received service right away! The waitress actually gave him his own personal carafe of coffee…. She did the same for the other guest sitting at the bar as well, but my husband and I still hadn’t even received water!!! … we watched food come out for everyone else , just not us… we sat at the breakfast bar and watched for well over 20 minutes… when we asked for a manager, the waitress seemed very surprised and all of a sudden very helpful. She said “I guess your waiter forgot about you… would you like for me to get you started with something” … after walking past us the whole time we sat there. Rick, the manager was NOT helpful at all.. we ask for the corporate number and he wrote it on a very small post it note with a very large marker making it very hard to read the number. I had to call the store and speak with someone different just to get a number to corporate. I left a message for someone to get back to me but to no avail….. it...
Read moreUnfortunately, this place had terrible customer service. My wife and I agreed to wait 30 minutes to be seated, which was fine. We were seated after 30 minutes or so. Perfect, we thought! We sat down for about 5 minutes and realized that the waiter and waitress were helping people around us, but would not make eye contact with us. At that moment, we both had the feeling that something was odd. We both decided to time how long it would take for the waiter or waitress to greet us. 10 more minutes went by and still we had not been greeted. My wife was ready to leave, but I said let's give them 5 more minutes. Tables around us had left and the restaurant was not full. The additional 5 minutes passed and now 20 minutes had went by without being greeted. I attempted to get the attention of the waitress that was in the area, but she either didn't hear me or ignored me and walked back towards the kitchen. At that moment we decided to get up and leave the restaurant. As we were getting up to leave, the couple in the booth behind us realized what was happening and told us how they couldn't believe that we hadn't even received water yet. My wife and I were the only African Americans that I saw in the restaurant. I'm a person that usually gives people the benefit of the doubt, so I'm not going to accuse the workers here of anything. Needless to say, we will never dine at this Bob Evans...
Read moreHaven't tried Bob Evans since a bad Veterans Day experience in Milford. So we tried the restaurant on Tylersville Rd., in West Chester, OH. It was a disaster!! We both got a dinner where you pay a little extra for appetizer and dessert. The waitress (Allie)was busy and appeared hurried when she came to check on us each time. But she was accommodating with each request. First, we both ordered the potato soup which I really like. The potatoes were not cooked very well and were crunchy. So I asked for the vegetable soup. Where were the vegetables? There were hardly any in mine. So I got a salad and asked for ranch. She brought it with Italian but I kept it anyway. My husband asked for carrots instead of green beans. They forgot and she brought the carrots later. They were so hard, they were almost like being raw. So he got broccoli which was good. Had not been offered bread so we ask the host to get us some. He did. When we asked for more, she said she'd have to charge us $2.19 extra. Is this something new? She asked what I wanted for dessert and I got a Carmel sundae. She assumed my husband wanted the same and brought him some, too. So he just kept it. We had spent the day doing medical tests and I had not been allowed to eat all day. Not a good experience at all.
