Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in West Chester

SO GOOD! Date: May 3 2023 Time: ~1:00 PM

Pros: -Amazing sandwiches -Good balance of Ingredients (I did not get same ratio I see in some of these shots) -Great cookies -Very fast service -Very straightforward ordering/menu easy to read -Kind workers Shredded Turkey, not Lunch Meat Always Accurate in my experience ( never got mayo by accident if no mayo or cheese, etc. )

Neutral -Mostly Herr chips(the devil!!!) offered besides Lays Classic, Lays Salt and Vinegar & Cheese Ruffles I wish they had bigger version of tea (personal wish) Limited parking (but can park by side of building if needed)

Cons: Limited Seating (two benches) if it were busy but was fine and service is so fast I doubt it'd be a problem. I only bought 3 sandwiches...... :(

I didn't take a picture but maybe will when I go to eat my second half tomorrow. I was too hungry/not thinking!

FULL PERSONAL REVIEW:

I went here to order for my family. We got the cheesesteaks, fries, and homemade turkey subs and they were SO GOOD. Legitimately began to worry about how much I was going to miss the sandwich by the end.

Not too dry(I did get vinegar) and didn't need to still add salt or seasoning or ketchup. Perfect amount of everything.

The service was very fast and both of the people working were so nice and diligent. This sandwich was absolutely heavenly out of all of the times I've been there. I am so happy. Thank you.

Wrapped well, too. The cookies AHHH so good as usual, too. The fries weren't too salty and were soft steak fries. People sensitive to salt may want to ask for less or none, though. I could imagine my sister saying they're salty. Not for me!

I don't even know what to do with myself now. I am in sandwich bliss. I don't want to go back to the flavorless reality before I ate it! 😫

To the two working that rainy day: You're both amazing...

My husband and I have always come to this shop for years and received good service. However, recently we have not received good service as our request of ingredients on our subs have not been fulfilled. I also find when I arrive there is no one in front of me, but when others come in they have been serviced before my order has been completed. Over the last two times I have come have not received good service after all the years we have order from the West Chester store. I hope things become better soon or we will have to find another store.

To be more specific: The first time of. Challenges I requested a veggi sub, and they gave us a meat sub. I also recognized at this time 2 individuals came into he store to order and left before my order was complete,

The second time which was today - August 16th it was my husbands birthday and he wanted a sub for his special day. I asked for three veggie subs with extra veggie turkey, mushrooms that was not placed on any of the subs. I also asked one sub not to have onions ;since I had a GI health issue, and we had to pick off the onions on all three subs.

The servers were nice, but did not prepare what I ordered. I also am concerned about why others will come into the store and leave before my order has been completed. I hope it is not a racial issue. I trust the next time I come to the store things will be better. I also should receive free orders since I have paid for something I did not receive.

I paid almost $50 and could not finish the sub it was so bad. I hope I never need to make this kind of review again for a store that has done such a great job...

Called for half hour to place order so I wouldn't have to wait, busy signal every time. We drove there and I immediately let them know their phone wasn't working, the woman at the register said she would look at it later. I tried to ask what came on the sub and she said whatever I wanted, I asked if there was a list on the menu and she said no. I had to continually ask what I could get on the sub to find out my options. I asked for a vegetarian turkey sandwich with cheese and she told me the turkey was made out of soy not cheese. I asked again for a vegetarian turkey sandwich WITH cheese on top. I then asked how long it will be, she replied she didn't know because the veggie burger had to get cooked on the grill. I asked for an approximate time frame she said maybe 20 minutes. 25 minutes later the other women behind the counter started asking me what toppings I wanted on my subs... Did I want cheese? Did I want lettuce or tomato... which was frustrating because I had already salt with that when I ordered. I let the first woman know that I tried to call AGAIN and their phone # was still busy. She didn't care. She said she would look at the phone when she had time. She just stood there looking at me. When the subs finally came out she stuffed them in a ripped bag and was in the back kitchen before I could even get to the counter. We live in Oregon and Capriotti's is usually a special treat when we visit my in-laws because of the vegetarian sub options. Even though they live in West Chester, I will never go back to this...
