Someone recommend this place a few days ago and I was a bit leary because I spend summers down south and am pretty picky when it comes to BBQ and Southern style food. I wanted to order and help out because before Friday they had been struggling like many small local businesses have been and just reopened Friday. They definitely need community support through this !!

Ordered over phone. Super friendly and you could tell busy. Easy pick up... Pull up, call back to tell them you are there and they bring it out curbside !

The food ... Anyone who frequents down South knows they pride themselves on their BBQ. And yes up here it's hard to find true Southern bbq and food. Well, Mabel's nailed it ! I don't know Mabel or if she is from the South but her food screams authentic and dedication. Anyone who really loves BBQ knows that it takes TIME. A lot of places rush good food and good takes TIME to get flavors like this. You will taste it the minute you bite into any of her food. The bbq chicken has flavor all the way through. The baked beans have a smokey kick, maybe peppers ? But the best baked beans I've ever had in my life !! Sweet potatoes that are like my Mom's !!! Corn bread, Cole slaw, hush puppies, brisket, Mac and cheese and more! Some of the things I couldn't try because I can't do gluten but the rest my family raves about !!!!!! My 11 year old LOVES hush puppies and said they were REALLY GOOD!!

If you love barbeque... Help this place out !! They have taken the time to do southern food right and you will definitely be back ! Thanks Kevin Schmied for giving the thumbs up ! You were right !!! Best place BY FAR!!

I believe they are open Friday through Sunday 2-7. Not sure during this if they have changed so be sure to call and check.

And please don't forget to tip!! These staff members are hustling and exhausted... Make sure they know you...

I'm glad I found this place! Omg it's the warmest atmosphere, nicest decor and the best staff to have for ANY business. It was VERY Welcoming. Now on to the food....I ordered Fried Chicken Wings, Collard Greens, Yams and a piece of cornbread. I'm going into detail cause it matters...so wings? FIRE! I asked for them to be fried hard and they were. Nicely seasoned and crispy. U can tell they clean their chicken well and the grease was still clean even at ordering 30 mins before close. The grease on the chicken did NOT taste like it was burnt or old . Yams were perfect. It tastes like how ALL Yams should. Sweet, soft, "syrupy" and not undercooked. No Yams should have a crunch. Greens were good as well! Perfectly seasoned yet again. Only thing I would change if any (and this is just for me) is to remove some of the greens water but again VERY tasty and I ordered almost at the close of business. Cornbread has excellent flavor. A little on the dry side for me but I would still order it because it has good flavor. If i took it home i would just add butter and BOOM! All and all...I WILL be coming back and trying some other dishes. I appreciate the warm welcome, service AND the FOOD. Oh and they have their own sauce! THAT was tasty as well...I would use that on my ribs or something next time. It's just not for my chicken. Food is even priced at the right price point to not feel overcharged. I spent under $20 for the entire platter. 10/10...

I called to order over Memorial Day weekend. No answer and an old message that gave no indication of whether they were open or not. I asked a question about the "status" of the business on Google. I was answered by patrons and not the owner/manager/operator of the business. Left a straightforward and kind msg. With name and number. No reply. Drove by today (6/1/18) and it was open and busy. Hmmm.

My two cents: If you're In Business to serve the public, you should serve the public. If you don't care about ALL customers, the ones you have already, the potential ones, the ones who search you out on the internet and are disappointed when they don't have any idea why they couldn't be served by you, you're not really in Business! You're serving family and friends and those who you deem "lucky enough" to get in touch with you and get some of your food.

A business that "serves as it pleases" is NOT a legitimate business! A business that can't back up its advertising and menu...and makes nothing but excuses for falling short... Should go back to the drawing board and stop disappointing folks.

So, I am not Happy about your (lack of) service and blatantly ignoring me and my one, very kind and civilized phone message. But Hey, you go on ahead and do as you please. Sooner or later you "reap what...
