My parents moved to Chicago back in 2007. The Chipp Inn was like a home to them. The atmosphere is always alive and everyone you meet there is a true character. The day I was born my dad brought me into the Chipp Inn to have everyone meet me, and from that day my family knew that this was our home. When I turned 3 we were pretty much going in every day and connecting with people. We lived right down the street so walking over was never an issue. So many kind people let us into their lives and to this day I call them my uncles and aunts. This includes my uncle Elmer who passed away last year. His afterparty was held at The Chipp Inn, and his name will always live on there because thats the kind of place they are. Always hard working and kind people waiting to serve you with a smile on their face. We moved from Chicago to Wisconsin when I was 7, but I will never forget the memories I made there as a kid. Read moreShowed up looking for a quick drink before heading out to a concert. Bartender looked at me like an alien for asking for a green tea shot and said “we don’t do that here. Look around at where you’re at. We don’t do that.” Could’ve been significantly nicer. She then proceeded to talk badly about me to the other guests saying stuff like “I can’t believe there are people like that that come in and ask for fancy things. The good: Great divey atmosphere, small, and cozy. Came with a huge group and we just completely took over the place, and everyone was still cool with it. Cheap beer, really cheap beer, and great music. They even have a pool table. You can also bring your own food in.
