Beauty Bar Chicago — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I had an awesome experience here last night! First and foremost, Jay the security guard is an amazing person!! When it was time to leave(about 240 am) I was still there sitting on the couch in lobby area frustrated. He asked me what's wrong. I told him, that my Uber app is not responding. He tells me to try requesting it from outside bc they don't have wifi. 5 mins later my phone is still unresponsive. So at this point ,I'm outside the bar thinking of where I can go that I can assess wifi(my Uber always works with wifi but sometimes(apparently when im 20 miles from home in middle of night on a cold rainy foggy night)my data is unresponsive! Anyway, Jay comes to check and I tell him the situation; he uses his phone to request the Uber and the fare is ridiculous due to surge and I'm like um...no. I tell him thanks I'll just wait till I get Service and hopefully the charge would go down. He says "no Sis, I can't have you out here like that and he requests the Uber for me!! Most security go by the: " you ain't gotta go home but you gotta get the hell out here"lmao And I don't blame them. But this just really restored my faith in humanity. The party was lit too! mixed crowd and the event was an early 2000s party. The line to get in was wrapped around the block and I almost left BUT the way the staff is set up, they had us in in less than 15 mins!!very professional and efficient. I got two bomb a$$ drinks, strawberry margarita(it was strong and wasn't packed with ice) and a pomadour martini. Thanks beauty bar I'll be telling everyone about the wonderful experience...

Beauty Bar has consistently been average for me. The place is gorgeous, wonderfully set up. Amazing little dance area and good clean bathrooms. But that is where it really stops.

The bar service is SO SLOW. I've never been to a more slow bar full of bartenders behind the bar be so slow at their job. I would understand since its usually busy and crammed, but I've seen worse and been served faster before at other smaller places. It really ruins the whole vibe. I know I'll have to stand through 4~6 sets of songs before my turn is even up to order and then more to actually get my drink. It truly makes me not wanna drink here. Knowing I'll miss out on SO much.

The music is VERY hit or miss. The theme ideas? Brilliant, in theory only. It's like a good Spotify playlist. You're going to get your bangers and then you're going to get your skips. Except they don't skip here. The entirety of my group was wondering what was going on. Again this is very hit or miss. Some nights they do great throwback nights and the DJ hits it. Other nights its really hard to groove.

Overall if you're on the other side of town it's hard for me to recommend to try this place. Especially on the far north side. Your expensive uber trip here will still around the same price as two drinks. But if you're nearby, I could see it as a fun...

I come here a lot and have experienced the bartenders, multiple times, be incredibly rude and demeaning. last weekend my friend ordered a drink and we both tasted it—it tasted like melted sugar, it was disgusting. she told the bartender and tried to order another drink and she was basically bullied. she said “you ordered a drink with raspberry liquor, you didn’t think it would be sweet? what were you thinking? did you read the menu?” when the drink was incredibly revolting. she was the problem, not the raspberry liquor. she put my friend down and i had excitedly brought them there to show it off. it was embarrassing and i felt bad for how miserable the bartender was. another time a bartender looked at me after not leaving a tip for a single high noon (after 3 or 4 closed bills where i left hefty tips) and said, “no tip?” and pressured me to leave a tip on a high noon. to top this review off, one night this summer i again brought friends from out of town and there was a man in the bathroom with a gun. we told security and we don’t know what happened from there, we left as quick as we could. all in all, the bartenders are awful. treat your patrons...
