This is by far the worst manicure I have gotten. Twice. Been getting dip manis for years in other states. They never finish by a UV top coat. The point of the dip mani is that there is no UV light. Got it once. After 2 days was really chipped and kinda broke my nails all over. Went in to get it fixed, asked if they could do the regular top coat finish, they said no it has to be UV gel… it was yesterday. And here is the state of my nails not even 24 hours later. They are completely ruined and broken. Let alone that when they fixed it they didn’t even start from scratch, they just removed one layer and build up on the terrible job that was already done.

UPDATE 7/2/25 - I sent my mom to get a regular mani/pedi quickly and if I could remove stars I would.

I thought this would be fine considering it had nothing to do with the dip powder that I had a terrible experience with.

This is the worst nail salon you could ever go to.

They made her pay $70 for a job that my 6 yo niece could have done. They overcut her nails, as if they did it on purpose. And the quality is shameful. What a terrible business. Save your money and go other places like JPN, they are more expensive but the work quality is...

ZaZaZoo Nails has been my go to nail place for years. Last year, a friend convinced me to try her place for a gel manicure and that was a HUGE mistake because they seriously damaged my nails which are normally very strong and healthy. My nails were ruined- no exaggeration- and I have been hesitant about going anywhere for my nails since then. Well, I am back to my roots with Za Za Zoo Nail Salon and have never been happier. Today, at the Chicago Ave location, Tamara did my nails and Eliza, who I normally see at the Damen Ave location, greeted me when I walked in.! Not only were they both friendly, but they educated me on a product that I had not tried before, Dazzle Dry, and it was such a good suggestion. Initially, I was only scheduled a pedicure since I didn’t want to risk messing up my nails because I did not have time to let a regular manicure dry properly . Dazzle Dry is going to be my go to nail option. My nails air dried in five minutes and they are Beautiful- my feet look good too!! Tamara was such a perfectionist and they both really made me feel good about being open to other nail options since my last fiasco. 10 out of 10(fingers and toes) recommended them...

I have been here for a basic/regular manicure and have not been disappointed. Nail tech, “Altyn” is great with the entire basic manicure almost WATERLESS process. Too much water will over dry skin and nails so it’s amazing to see the extra care of using nail oil while buffing/etching the nail. I also love that she does not buff the skin around the nail to rush a manicure like most local nail places do.

As someone who can do without the craze on no-chip mani, long acrylic tips or crazy art, I find ZaZa Zoo nails delivers an amazing polished and classic manicure for this working professional!

Customer service is standard; no complaint here. Check in and check out, simple. Tips in cash are preferred but the techs now have their own individual Venmo accounts if you are the contactless fan. No one has attitude at the facility. However, they also don’t go above and beyond to be overly friendly; not the end of the world. Overall staff seems to keep to themselves and that’s ok!
