A Cozy Saturday Morning Retreat at Eppel's Restaurant. Eppel's Restaurant is a hidden gem that has become my go-to spot for a cozy Saturday morning breakfast. Situated in the heart of the West Loop in Chicago, this charming eatery provides the perfect setting for a leisurely meal, making it an ideal place to pass the time and enjoy a delightful breakfast. The ambiance at Eppel's is warm and inviting, creating an intimate space that feels like a home away from home. It's the kind of place where you can savor the moment, and the attentive staff adds to the overall pleasant experience. On my recent visit, I opted for a classic combination: scrambled eggs with sausage links and buttermilk pancakes. The breakfast was a symphony of flavors that started my Saturday off on a delicious note. The scrambled eggs were expertly cooked, fluffy and light, with the perfect balance of seasoning. Paired with the savory goodness of the sausage links, each bite was a burst of savory delight. The combination of protein and flavor made for a hearty and satisfying breakfast. And then there were the buttermilk pancakes – a true indulgence. Light, fluffy, and slightly sweet, these pancakes were a perfect canvas for a drizzle of maple syrup. The stack was generous, and each bite was a comforting blend of texture and taste. The attention to detail in the preparation of the breakfast items at Eppel's is evident. The quality of ingredients and the thoughtful execution by the kitchen staff contribute to a memorable dining experience. Looking for a cozy spot to spend a Saturday morning and enjoy a breakfast that feels like a comforting hug?, Eppel's Restaurant in the West Loop of Chicago is the place to be. The combination of inviting ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food makes it a top choice for those seeking a delightful start to the weekend. Read moreEppel’s restaurant has been one of my favorite go to restaurants for years. As a government worker me and my staff frequently take out and dine in at Eppel’s. I have been a regular customer . I had noticed that the restaurant has lost It’s sense of value in giving good service . I had a couple of issues in the past with orders being wrong and having not too good customer service from Lisa a former employee and Jay a current employee. As of today, I am no longer patronizing this restaurant. I came in looking to have breakfast and was asking a question about my order as Jay was my server. When he came over to me he was immediately rude asking me. What do I want as if I was taking too long . I asked a question which I repeated more than once and he repeated it to me. You keep asking the same F question he stated .He began to yell asking lynn other to come complete my order because he is not going to keep explaining to me. Lynn then came and took my order politely. Note I am illegally blind customer that cannot look at the menu and asking questions is what I need to do to ensure my order is correct. After that he then proceeded to mock me, saying I’ve explained myself seven times. how many f times I gotta say it. I told him he should find different employment if he does not like his job . Lynn proceeded to tell Jay to stop and he refused. He turned around and said I should find another restaurant to go to. I saw the manager and spoke with her telling her I will no longer come to this restaurant and anymore. Eppel’s have become to hostel and terrible customer service. Eppel’s goal is to provide quality food in a friendly environment and great customer services which they have...
Read moreMe and my guy went yesterday afternoon and was "served" by Bernice. When I said hello, she seemed to have a very nasty attitude to begin with just by not replying back but instead "What are you having?" Then she looks over at my guy and goes, "You ain't pay your bill last week!" First off, you come to our table with a chip on your shoulder and then when someone greets you please have the professionalism to respond back. Now as far as my guy not paying his check, come to find out she got him mixed up with someone else. I wasnt with him when he stopped in for a bite to eat but she made sure to let me know "Don't worry he wasn't with anybody else." Very tacky!! Yet to flat out and ACCUSE a regular customer and in a not so discreet way was very RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Also all that had to be done was for him to prove that it was paid by way of plastic. Needless to say eventhough the lady at the front who is always pleasant to us offered us to sit elsewhere chances are we won't be back there to eat for a long time if ever again. Well at least the...
