George's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I am a big eater so I bought 3 order of their dish on their menu. I order Cheese Burger, Italian Beef Sandwich and Grecian Salad. I didn’t order drinks since I prefer to drink water instead of soda and juices. Grecian Salad are freshly prepared and Made-to-Order Grecian Salad - lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced onions, green peppers, pepperoncini peppers, feta, Kalamata olives, oregano and their homemade Greek dressing & pita bread. Cheese Burger are served on a toasted bakery bun with fries. Topped with mustard, ketchup, sliced pickles, grilled onions, lettuce and tomatoes. It has a side dish with fries. This is as good as a hot dog joint can get, ykwim? The fries are thick and crispy and the cheese sauce is piping hot. The poppyseed buns are perfect, the dogs are snappy, the pickles are crunchy. And the service is quick and with a rare smile. The people who operate this place are wonderful. When I picked up my order today, the woman in front of me told me that she's the sister of the woman behind the counter. These ladies were as lovely as can be. I had placed my order for pick up and it was ready for me not 10 minutes later when I arrived. I drove back to the office and my food was exactly as I had asked for in the notes section and still hot and fresh. I'm so happy to be working in this neighborhood again so I can treat myself more often than my doctor would...

Classic mom & pop kind of hot dog stand; with over 70 years of doing business. Service was good, went at about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon, wait time for my order was about 15 minutes, so not too bad as they did seem a bit busy. I got myself the "Philly Steak" which was a little greasy but not overly so. I personally like my philly's with mushrooms, but I did treat myself to an order of their breaded mushrooms, well as an order of mozzarella sticks. So all is good, was enough for my late lunch and most of my dinner as well. Tasty 😋.
