Wanted to detail my experience at this cafe
I placed an order from the app Too Good to Go. The pickup time was between 3:30p-4:30p. I came to pick up at 4:40p - ten minutes beyond the pickup time; bear in mind, the cafe closes at 5p. The waitress was quite rude and firm on her stance that since I came late, I wouldn't be able to pick up my order. I asked for further explanation and was directed to speak with the manager. After several minutes of back and forth, I was offered a pastry the size of an oreo - no refund, I was told to 'take it up with Too Good to Go'. I don't know how to escalate this situation w Too Good to Go, and I honestly can't be bothered to do it over the $5 I paid.
Overall, I can't be too mad, as I was late for pick up. But pretty disappointed that a locally owned coffee shop would treat their 3rd party patrons in such a way.
EDIT: Not sure how to reply to your response, so I'll tack it on to my original review.
Hi Leyla, I believe we spoke over the phone. To claim I was "harassing" your barista is outrageous. I was calm and courteous throughout the interaction - maybe a bit incredulous at how the situation was handled by you and your staff. Let me remind you that you were not present, and could only mediate over the phone; to make false claims of harassment is foul.
If by "receiving special treatment" you mean, picking up the food I rightfully paid for, then yes, I would have loved to receive special treatment 😂
I stand by my actions, integrity, and original...

I've had many pistachio/rose beverages...I'm South East Asian, those flavors are basically part of the culture. I think my personal taste preference is just items that taste GOOD. And that was not what I experienced at this establishment. Thanks!
I wanted to like this place but I have to be honest, I didn't enjoy anything I ordered. The coffee I had was from their signature drink menu - it was the Pistachio Rose Iced Latte I believe. Being a signature drink, I was expecting it to be good. It was horrible, I downed it only for the caffeine, but even still, I had to toss about 25% of it. It just tasted horrible, plain and simple. I also got the goat cheese and honey bagel. Not sure if I missed it on the menu but it came with greens on the bagel. Goat cheese, walnuts, honey, cream cheese + greens. Not a good combo, tasted awful. Won't be back to try anything else on the menu, but if you go, I advise not to get the items...
Read moreHuge fan after my first visit! I had the hazelnut horchata latte and it was truly heavenly. The staff was really friendly and gave me some great recommendations when I asked. They're willing to answer any questions you have and were happy to accommodate customers preferences. All lattes can be made decaf. A great place to meet up with a friend or get some work done.
Prices are a bit more expensive but not abnormal for the area and very much so worth it for the quality. I've seen numerous reviews complaining about the wait however they have a note on the menu that you should allow 10 minutes for your order to be completed as they hand-craft each one. If you want generic, quick, burnt coffee go across the street to Starbucks, haha!
Parking: Free street parking is ample around the location Outlets: Almost every table has access to a plug, huge plus! Music: Chill vibes playing, if you don't like louder music this might not be the place for you to work but I...
