Mellow atmosphere, easy vibe & a superb cocktail menu...what else could you ask for, oh yes, an enticing food choice. This little gem summons a 'Speak Easy' type vibe from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere takes you back in time when the only requirement to enter was a 'secret password '. The detail to the perfect cocktail by utilizing herbs, liquers and superb technique is an extraordinary experience! I decided to step outside of my box & took a very welcome recommendation from the friendly mixologist. I will say the anticipation of the aromatic beverage became more enticing by witnessing the preparation. I watched as Spirits were carefully measured and ingredients I never knew you could use in a cocktail were masterfully blended. The presentation alone would make your mouth water and then finally...the taste! It's master mixology at its finest....flavorful but uniquely blended so as not to allow any one ingredient to dominate in flavor but instead subtly blend into an incomparable & inviting liquid fusion that warms your soul. It completes the atmosphere & gives you the hand-crafted, carefully mastered recipe that you swear was made only for you. What also stood out is the patience of my mixologist who didn't just plant a glass in front of me but instead served ,in a display type fashion, this fusion of goodness and waited as I sampled my first taste. She was openly content with my reaction and was eager to answer my never ending questions about how she combined all this savory into a glass. She also made sure it was 100% to my liking noting everyone has different likes & palate. This attention to detail unfortunately is not seen too often and was very appreciated. As you enjoy your cocktail and take in the atmosphere you can't ignore the flavorful aromas coming from the kitchen. The menu is not extensive but the attention to taste and detail is. Try it all...you won't be disappointed. An unexpected pleasure was the absence of televisions and jukebox...this is a unique method of inviting clientele to carry on a conversation , meet new people & share experiences. And just in case you aren't blown away enough...ask for dessert menu! So bring your mellowest vibe & your tastiest buds and enjoy this uniquely...
Read moreI came to Ositos to celebrate my boyfriendâs birthday, expecting a relaxed night out. Weâve both been here before and always enjoyed the beer selection, but this visit was incredibly disappointing.
One member of our group was asked to leave for not having his ID, which we understood. What didnât make sense was that others in our party, including myself, were not asked for ID at all. Despite this inconsistency, our friend left without issue, and we tried to stay positive.
What really ruined the night was how we were treated afterward. The staff completely ignored our table, even though the bar was nearly empty. We had to get up to ask for the check because no one would come by. When we finally got the bill, the server brought shotsâbut only for the two members of our group who are regulars. He thanked them for their business and completely ignored the rest of us.
I left feeling unwelcome and unappreciated. Itâs clear that if youâre not a regular, your business doesnât matter here. I wonât be coming back.
Reply to the ownerâs response: Weâll have to agree to disagree on the matter of the shots.
Multiple members of our group are in their early to mid twenties and have had their ID checked at other establishments but not yours. As much as your staff would like to claim itâs because our other guest looked young it did not feel like that was the case. I myself always get my ID checked but did not have it checked that day.
Itâs not that I âfeltâ that the staff had not checked on my table enough. Itâs that after that situation no one came to our table. We were there for about another 20-30 minutes and the server only came to give us our bill after we had to get up and meet him at the bar to ask for it. The service prior to that was not bad, but after that had no one come check us once. Again it was only one other party there at that time.
I truly hope your staff does better, is more consistent with their policies and procedures, and take accountability when they make mistakes rather than...
Read moreBooked a reservation for 8:30 pm for a celebratory promotion/bday dinner and the table was not reserved. My wife and I showed up at 8:22 and the hostess told us the wait was an hour. We informed the hostess that we had a reservation and she could care less. Told us, ' well these people just sat down and it's an hour wait.... you can sit at the bar'. To quote a wiseman, "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just donât know how to hold the reservation and thatâs really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them". ~Jerry Seinfeld I was excited about this place and a huge letdown since we ended up leaving. The mech looks great though and glad there's a pizza nova next door since we ended up picking up a pizza and eating at home.
Response to the owner:
Usually, I do not reply nor review any establishment since it is someoneâs business and hard work. In this case, my intelligence is being insulted and that really doesnât sit well with me. Now, I attached a screenshot of the reservation. Iâm not the best reader but I see that it says, âTable for 2â. We wanted to be considerate by also setting up a nice reminder for your staff via the notes that we required a table since we were celebrating. No, your hostess didnât establish the bar seats were reserved for us. She looked over and noticed the open spots, therefore, offering them. Also, she could have mentioned that the bar was reserved for us if that really was the case. I should give you another star for the cleverness in your response. I donât wish bad upon your establishment since it looks like a great place. I wish you nothing but the best since I see this place going far. Just a piece of advice, sometimes we must admit weâre in the wrong even if...
