I ordered via toast for the sundsay football special. I took out 2 pizza's one being a pepperoni and the other the mushroom miso. As others state this is a think doughy pizza with really no sauce on it. The peperonni seemed to be a little scarce compared to the google pics. overall it was decent/ average (Jet's is better). Lacked flavor compared to similar spots in chicago.
As for the second pizza i thought it was worth mentioning I love mushrooms but they put an overwhelming amount on the mushroom pizza. I'd say about 2" thick piled on top. Since there is no sauce or very little it is over kill, not even sure they put any cheese on this one. You can't even eat the pizza slice without a pile falling off the slice. By the time you finish a single slice the pile of left over mushrooms is just as big as the initial slice. I also think they are marinated in miso broth so thats all you taste. I wanted to try this place based on the reviews but I will not be going back. Professor Pizza blows this place away on all levels. Their grandma style offers a way better pizza than what is offered here with way better flavors. Over all I was disappointed and...
Read moreLike I would any pizza-by-the-slice place, I went in expecting to buy and finish a slice within 5 or 10 minutes. I didn’t expect to wait for over 20 minutes, battling over loud music blasting in my ears, and loud patrons loudly trying to have a normal conversation over the music. Nor did I expect to, at the end, be awarded with a lukewarm slice that seemed like it was left out for 10 minutes.
I don’t know what the intended vibe of this restaurant is, but whatever their strategy to juggle the high demand for online orders while trying to provide in person patrons with an experience that isn’t stress inducing just isn’t working. Hire more staff to get through orders more quickly, have some pre cooked slices ready to go, or for at the very least turn the music down so I can hear myself think while I wait the half hour for the tiny, lukewarm slice.
In short, I left stressed out, confused, and disappointed. No wonder everyone...
Read moreAmazing. They start with crisp on the bottom, flavorful, light olive oil focaccia/ciabatta style loaves. Then they top with chef crafted quality ingredients to form SUCH flavorful combos...oh and the cheese...they do something like whip the mozzarella until it's whipped cream consistency, like a cloud, that effortlessly melts away and blends with the spice of the pepperoni and other toppers. Everything about the slice is delicious, flavorful, bold, but also delicate.
Seriously some of the best..if not the best.. pizza I've ever had.
I only wish they were open more hours. (Pizza by the slice, not available to grab for a quick lunch or afternoon snack🤔💔) And they only take card.. If they could move to the suburbs and get a drive thru + dine in location, I bet there'd be lines of cars all day long. Anyways,...
