**Review for Tandoori House at Western Chicago
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're searching for the best Indian cuisine in the Chicago area, look no further than Tandoori House! This hidden gem truly stands out, particularly for their Chilli Chicken Biryani, which is hands down one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
The Chilli Chicken biryani is a perfect blend of fragrant basmati rice, tender bone less chicken, and aromatic spices that transport your taste buds straight to India. Each bite is a delight, with layers of flavor that bring warmth and satisfaction. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great value for the quality you receive.
Aside from the biryani, the atmosphere of Tandoori House is warm and welcoming, making it an excellent spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to recommend dishes or customize your order to your liking.
If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by Tandoori house at western I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Their Chicken Biryani alone is worth the visit, and I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their delightful menu!
And their Mango lassi is excellent as well Don’t know I order countless times so...
Read moreOMG so much delicious! You honestly can't go wrong with anything, we ordered, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, Saag Lamb, Butter Chicken, Veggie Samosas, Tandoori Chicken, Tamarind Wings, Chaat fries and the Naan sampler. I'm still having trouble picking which was my favourite. If you order the fries do yourself a solid and ask for a side of tikka masala sauce to put over them. Better yet, order the lamb tikka masala and bour that over them instead of rice. There were 5 of us and there was plenty for full dinner the next night.
Price point I feel is spot on for the extreme high quality you get. They definately make the dishes FRESH per order rather than pulling from a large vat of sauces and adding which ever protein you ordered like some places I've been to. The spinach dishes still tasted like fresh spinach, not simmered down frozen blech.
I was first introduced to Tandoor Char House at one of the many festivals that took place over the summer, they were at a lot of them so I'm very excited for the new location to be just a few blocks from...
Read moreWe’ve been customer to this restaurant for over 15 years at their original location on Halsted Street. At that time, the food was good with the owner Faraz? Usually handling the business and talking to customers, etc. However, we did takeout yesterday from western ave location to eat out at the beach. We were initially quoted 20 minutes prep time, which ended up being one hour. I can understand the delay, however, the food quality has severely degraded over the years. The wraps were bland and extremely salty with no flavor and they were dry. All the sauces were on the side which defeats the purpose of having an individualized wrap. Burgers were also on the dry side. Fries were good as always but that was not the main reason we were here. We’ll have to think twice before...
