Alright so unfortunately I frequent this Popeyes a lot because I live nearby and I like fried chicken and im to lazy to drive anywhere else. I’ll lead with some positivity... most of the time the food is fresh and good. Now for some reality...... This place F*ing blows. 90% of the employees suck including most of the manager staff. Everyone has an attitude, everyone seems miserable, no one is good at their job, people skills here are at an all time low. Actually most of the male employees are pretty cool but that’s the only highlight I have for the staff.
I’d say 10% of the time I’m able to receive my food in under 10 minutes, otherwise be ready to wait 15-25 minutes and occasional upwards of 40 minutes. I once waited 50 minutes for my order because of a variety of mishaps with my order, but I don’t blame them, I blame myself for lacking the self-worth to get up and leave.
If you come during the lunch hour or dinner hour you’re fooling yourself if you think you’ll be in and out under 20 minutes. After 9:30pm or 10pm they usually stop dropping chicken, so be prepared for them to tell you they ran out of more than half of the menu. By 11pm you’ve got a better chance asking one of the nearby homeless people for a spicy chicken breast than this place. Things I’ve witnessed at this Popeyes.... staff fighting customers, constant lines of angry customers, employees standing around doing nothing with a line full of people, managers leaving shifts in frustration I’m torn... I love Popeyes chicken and this place is super convenient for me, but honestly this specific establishment is a cancer and humanity would be better served without probably. Rarely do I walk out of this establishment not angry at the world, but usually after I get home and bite into my spicy chicken breast all is well again.
If you have any self worth and value your time and sanity I strongly recommend avoiding this place. If you have have time to burn and life is so good to you that nothing can kill your mood then certainly grab some...
Read moreThis is the worst Popeyes Location in Chicago. I've never had a good experience coming here I try to avoid this place honestly. The staff are unnecessarily very nasty & rude. I went through the drive-thru ordered 2 chicken sandwich meal I asked them to put extra pickles the manger said they can't because it was made already & if I wanted them I have to go through the drive thru AGAIN at this point I still don't have my food smh. After I receive the food I noticed there is only one pickle on my sandwich I go inside to get additional pickles and she said that I have to pay for them. I also wanted extra sauce on my sandwich because it was barely any I was told that I had to pay for that too with a great big attitude. After going back and forth with her she told 1 of the workers to give me only 2 pickles. I go back to the car and my son helped me realize that they never gave us both of our drinks so I have to go back inside to receive them. Seems like evey manger there hates their job & takes it out on customers. This particular store has a bad reputation around Chicago which is a shame. With all of these terrible reviews and complaints against his restaurant I don't understand why there hasn't been some adjustments what a shame it's literally just...
Read moreHello,
I came into the store on Aug 4th at ~10:50-11am-ish to use Tmobile tuesday promotion. Usually Popeyes is not my first of fast food but i said that's a good opportunity to see what they have to offer. I came into the store with the promotional code allowing me to redeem promotional items for free. The cashier consulted with the "manager" Renee who first said that they don't accept those codes and the only way to get it redeemed is to order online or order through uber (how incompetent?!). When i pushed back and indicated that the page with the code (see attached screenshot) tells to show it to the cashiers she went back to the manager and this time the manager claimed they don't participate in the promotion even though the rules of the promo says that there are only 4 states that are exempt. I've asked where can i complain about this situation and I was given this website. With 1minute of the expiring timer on the promo code I've left Popeyes and went to a near by McDonald's to get my lunch. This was extremely bad experience and feels a lot like...
