This must be Taco Bell's new operating model. The lobby has no staff; you must order through their kiosk. The kiosk is intuitive and walks you through the process. There is a bit too much of upsellig, asking me twice if I wanted to include additional suggested items. If I wanted an additional item, I would have said yes the first time. The location is open for breakfast at 8 am. (drive-thru only), and the lobby is open at 9 am. Once you complete your order on the kiosk, my order was up under 5 minutes. There is a self-service fountain offering 10 types of beverages, plus water. This place is brand new, so the dining area is fresh off the build and a bit corporate rather than cozy. It was well maintained, but no one was using the dining area at 1 pm. on a Tuesday. If you like Taco Bell, it is a solid choice. I had the Steak Quesadilla; there was just enough steak in there to claim it was a steak quesadilla. They are open as late as 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays; 1 am. any other day. UPDATE: Came back for breakfast. Pulled into the drive-thru at 8:10 am, I work a few blocks away and have plenty of time to pickup breakfast. But not here. Even though it was well after 8 am the drive-thru was not answering, I drove up to the window after several minutes and was told she has just opened up (now over 15 minutes late) and I would have to drive around and go back to the drive-thru speaker to order. Really? You can't take my order here at the window? When you are serving breakfast at a fast-food restaurant, people need to be in and out. I can not come back if it is going to make me late for work. McDonald's and Wendy's are down the street and are fast...
Read moreI was really looking forward to having a taco bell location closer. However, this location certainly gives a solid image to all the other horrible reviews before me. Visited this location for take out. No one was at the front when I walked in. Watched two elderly customers struggle to use the kiosk and ask for help only for no one to come from hiding in the back. They decided to leave without placing an order. After receiving my order I did not receive my drinks so I was forced to wait. Once I received my drinks one was the incorrect size. Ordered a large baha blast but received a regular. Asked for help 3 times and waited for about 10 mins for someone to come to the front. No one ever acknowledged me. I even knocked on the counter a few times considering yelling for assistance wasn't working. The other customers behind me even decided to leave considering no one was assisting me. This all happened as I listened to workers in the back curse at each other and laugh loudly about their plans after work. Very poor customer service and unless under new management I expect people to wait forever to receive their food. If you have a problem with your order good luck because you probably will be waiting forever to get it resolved or be ignored like I was. Milwaukee taco bell location although hectic and very busy most times still is the best location for me. Great customer service and rarely gets my order wrong. Don't bother with this one. Sad to see such poor service upon...
Read moreI recently visited Taco Bell at 57 N. Western Ave, Chicago, for the first time, and I have to say, I was disappointed by my experience. I placed a mobile order at 12:37 AM, and despite there being no line in the drive-thru, I was still waiting until 1:03 AM before receiving my food.
Once I got home, I realized one of the items, the Double Stacked Taco, was missing. I ordered two but was only given one. To make matters worse, the Cinnamon Twists I ordered were completely plain, with no cinnamon sugar at all. They were disgusting, so I ended up throwing them out.
I understand that this location just opened a few weeks ago, but this experience was incredibly frustrating. I know McDonald's, right next door, doesn’t have these issues, and I expected much better...
