Ramirez Fast Food — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

The last time I stopped by here about a year ago the food was OK. Unfortunately things haven't changed since then. On both occasions I bought a steak burrito. The meat is fried and not grilled on an open flame. If prepared by the latter method it would be considerably better. I would of preferred to select ground beef when a Mexican restaurant can't grill their food. However, upon close review of the menu seems they don't offer it. By all means my review is not a condemnation of the establishment. In terms of effort and customer service they are fine, and without trying other items cannot give them a negative review. My assessment is blunt to suggest what they can do to improve. To be honest there are several places within the vicinity that offer a better burrito at a cost around $6.50. You get what you pay for. While this might not be the tidiest or most polished spot in the city, it delivers where it counts—value. I grabbed a double cheeseburger and fries for just $8.79, and honestly, the food was better than expected for the price. The burger was surprisingly large and satisfying. If you’re on a budget and looking for a quick, affordable bite, this no-frills, hole-in-the-wall joint hits the mark. I haven’t found a deal like this anywhere else in the city.

I LOVE their steak tacos. They also have a wide variety of other dishes, such as, Italian beefs, pizza by the slice, hotdogs, American style breakfast, and many other options. The prices here are VERY reasonable. It's a family owned business, the owner and his wife are always very nice. They open at 5am and close at 3pm. Cash and card accepted here.
