Disclaimer: I am not a fan of sushi. I was told the sushi was delicious, but this review mainly covers atmosphere, service, and options for the sushi-averse who find themselves at a sushi joint because their friends and family love sushi. I went with a party of four, two teens and two adults, on a Friday around 8:00 p.m. We walked, but there is paid street parking in the immediate area outside the restaurant. It's across from a fire station and near a bridge over the expressway, so you may have to venture down a side street to park. Once inside, you immediately feel how intimate the setting is. There are about 10-12 small tables in a pretty small space, so be prepared to get close. We were greeted and seated right away by the server, who was really nice and calm even though he was the only server. He was also pretty knowledgeable about the menu items. We had to wait a bit to order, but that was fine because it gave us time to peruse the menu (have your phone ready to scan the QR code for the menu), check out the interesting decor (all black walls with interesting fusion artwork, and a large screen with a relaxing water and terrain landscape video on a loop), and discover the music playing (super-chill, loungy-vibe covers of popular songs). The sushi menu was compact and simple to order. Unlike some sushi spots that have entrees and side items to satisfy the non-sushi-eating tag-alongs, the menu is not inclusive, which was expected. Here's exactly what you'll have if you don't eat sushi: panko-crusted chicken breast strips with BBQ-ish red sauce, edamame, and a small bowl of rice, all of which were simply ok. We didn't have dessert, but there is mochi, lemoncello cake, and a chocolate peanut butter cup cake. Overall, this is a chill spot with no frills. Cool if you're just looking for a quiet spot to get a quick sushi fix.

Love!! I didn't get any food photos because my sushi rolls were so delicious I couldn't stop eating them 😋😂 Great little spot - intimate and hip. Big video on the wall with good music, which added to the vibe. On top of that, the waiter and manager were both on top of their game and had great banter. We'd had some less than stellar interactions today, so it was great to be somewhere with friendly, helpful and *on it* staff. Prices were great for the quality of the food and seriously, it was so good. Five stars for everything, for sure. My friend got the mini platter with an unagi roll and loved it, I got the Godzilla roll and the Japan-a-Wrap, which was great. The last didn't have rice which was kind of incredible - i don't think I've ever encountered a sushi spot that had rice free rolls but i would have killed for those when I was on a low carb diet. Thankfully, now I can eat rice to my heart's content, but I was just delighted to see an option like that! This would be a great spot for a date night- it was cozy enough that you could talk to your table partners but also had enough background noise to keep from hearing other's conversations.

I live around the corner from this sushi spot and never knew it was here. Lol. I'm not sure that I was fully convinced by the flavors, but it was good enough for me to give it another try. I really liked the interiors—the perfect amount of lighting and music choice. My only comment for improvement would be not to play sports on the projection wall. It kinda kills the vibe of the place, particularly because the aesthetics of the restaurant seem to be completely different from a sports restaurant. From my view, the idea of this place is to create a Japanese urban feel. It would be cool to see this portrayed on the projection screen. I know Japan has some cool urban history. +prices are affordable Edit- went here for the second time and I had the red chicken. It was delicious, they were also playing some cool music. My rating has gone up to 5 stars.

Made a pretty large order ($118) for dinner on Wednesday. Was pretty excited to try this place based on reviews and we love sushi. Our food took about an hour to get here via DoorDash. We opened our containers to a combined sushi mess, rolls were tightly packed and we didn’t know what was what. We separated and plated. Our entire sushi order was warm. We honestly figured that was probably bc the door dash driver had his heat on. The rice was also mushy. I took 4 bites of the widow roll and it just didn’t taste right. I stopped eating because it did not taste fresh, and it was warm. My husband also ate that roll, along with a few bites of our others and had the same experience.

We ended up throwing more than half of our order away, and we ended up getting ill from this. I reached out to door dash about this, to file a report about quality but to also get a refund as we basically paid $118 to get sick. Door dash has escalated this twice now with no resolution, and their customer service has been the worse. It’s a lot of money for food that isn’t fresh. I would not order from here again. Menu looked great and like I said we were excited but it is NOT fresh....
