Large tufted booths and comfy bar stools give this bar a dark lair/lounge vibe the bartender Micky was so friendly and funny, great drink prices, pool table, amazing music .... You walk in, there's $5 jamo and The Runaways on the radio, classic and 90s rock through the night, laid back conversation without having to scream over anyone (on a Tuesday night anyway)... just great vibes, definitely recommend đŸ’ƒđŸ» visiting from NYC not all bars are friendly to outsiders so I am super glad we stumbled here. But I REALLY wish we were able to request songs with their music set up, especially for a birthday.

A little pricier than your average bar. It’s almost all men here which feels weird as a group of women visiting - I don’t love watching my friends get looked at like they’re meat at the deli counter. Bartender and doorman were both respectful and kind. $10 card minimum, which sounds about right for this area. SWIG is just a regular bar. EDIT: bartender accidentally charged me for a drink I didn’t buy and was an angel about it. Added an extra star for him.

We visited this bar for Mimosa Fest and had a truly unpleasant experience. When I first arrived with my party, I noticed that the man we spoke to, whom I believed to be a bartender, already had an attitude. I brushed it off initially, thinking it was just my imagination.

We sat ourselves, which was fine, and waited for about 15 minutes before he came over, which was also acceptable. However, the problems began when we started ordering. I was with my two sisters and a family friend.

Both my sisters started their orders, and when one of them asked for a drink menu, the bartender stated that they didnt have one, and when she asked "but you have drinks right?" He responded with a sarcastic "it's a bar," (Mind you, he provides us to NO solutions on how we're supposed to know what drinks they have available to the public) . The tone he used was unnecessary, but she decided not to confront him. The other two in my party also picked up on his attitude, but we all TRIED to brush it off.

The situation escalated when he said, "It looks like you all aren't ready to order, so why don't you just come to the bar when you're ready?" This was baffling because we had already started ordering, and no one else had a chance to state their orders before he made this comment. His hostile attitude was evident for the second time, and it was clear he was not interested in serving us.

We decided to leave, feeling unwelcome and frustrated.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that there were four venues involved in Mimosa Fest, including this bar. While the other three were packed to the brim, this bar was practically empty. This leads me to believe that the poor service and negative atmosphere we experienced might be typical for this...

I went here last night to celebrate my friend’s birthday and as soon as we got to the door we were informed by security that they were closed and not letting anyone else in. That’s fine, it was only 11:30 so I was confused as to why online said they closed at 2am. The “manger” comes to the door and says “blame his network guy he’s been trying to contact him for weeks” I then asked him for his information because I had driven 45mins to come to this spot after hearing good things about it. He refused to give me his name and then walked off while I was talking to him. That is where I felt disrespected! Looks over and completely disregarded to a first time customer. He then went inside and started yelling “alright everybody out!! Let’s go! We’re closed!” Just rude!!! I will NEVER go again and will make sure the people who once spoke so highly of this place hears about my unfortunate...

Went here during Wicker Park Fest and sat outside. The waitress was so nice and did an amazing job with a heavy load. We tipped her well and enjoyed the service. One of the two bouncers here was rude to me out of nowhere. I was trying to exit the bar on my way back from the restroom and he was having a prolonged conversation with a girl in the doorway. I said “Excuse me” quietly and then tried to go around them. I then heard “Would it kill you to wait two minutes?” Followed up by “I bet you’ve never waited for a thing in your life.” I just stared at him and went back to my table because it was bizarre to be so rude for no reason, and his job is literally to ensure traffic flow into and out of the bar. The other bouncer was cool, so I hope this guy has a better day and stops being snarky to patrons who are enjoying themselves and...
